Overall this looks fantastic. The wait for the Steam release will feel like forever.

Recorded some gameplay today if interested. I avoided campaign story spoilers and focused mostly on generic missions to show off some of the various flight and combat mechanics so no worries there. Check it out!

Any of y’all playing, first patch is up. Here’s the deets:

*Potential fix for crash related to threaded Bink video loads (fingers crossed!)
*Comms audio (when displayed in conjunction with video) should now match the audio levels of other sounds when sound settings are altered
*Added an exit button to PDA in mouse mode
*Mouse control had a revision for better precision and feel
*Mouse Deadzone setting added
*Various lighting updates to multiple conversations
*Dingo can now accept cargo extender mk 2
*Sequoia can now accept power plant mk3 and cargo extender mk 3
*Starvenger difficulty reduced slightly - rock density and speed does not increase as fast from round to round
*Ship Paint Shop autosaves on exit, so you don’t have to manually do it. You can now ‘exit without saving’

This is a thing? Interesting.

When you use it as a virtual stick it controls how far you have to push the ‘stick’ before it engages. Helps keep you from making adjustments you didn’t want to make.

Ah, cool.

I’ll happily start playing. Just need someone to give me a time machine or the game, either one will do ;)

Oh lord, I’m trash at ONI but at least i’m having fun… it’s also my 1st ever sponsored series but I have no qualms about promoting Klei, I think they’re great.

As for the new patch with Mouse Deadzone, I just tested it and it’s fantastic! Before the patch it was way too sensitive and easy to overshoot waypoints when navigating with mouse but this is new setting addresses it perfectly! Thanks @tbaldree!

@tbaldree there was a question on twitch during Tom’s stream as to whether there will be a French translation soon.

I was watching Guildboss’ stream and he starts shooting before I even saw the ship. I’m colorblind. Did you have anyone who is colorblind playtest this & do you have colorblind options?

The starting radar in Veteran mode is literally colorless. Hostility is automatically prioritized and factions displayed. I don’t think there is anything that is color-required.
I’m assuming he started shooting because a bracket appeared.

Releasing this to streamers 10 days before release to genpop is
torturous. Tom’s stream was so great.

The best part of the stream might have been all of Travis’ advice that Tom kept missing. That and Tom going rogue.

Is there a Qt3-centric bat-signal type code we can all have on the down low? So when trying to figure things out, Travis can peek in and offer pointers?

Heh, every time Tom used his right stick to move the mouse cursor on the sector map, but then only slowly panned on the local map and ignored the right stick, I wished I had a flag to wave :)
