I just did a few A-10 missions. FUN. AND OMG IT SUPPORTS FORCE FEEDBACK.
So yeah, likely gonna dive into SF2 soon.

Okay holy crap that’s exactly what I wanted. I don’t have time anymore to spend an hour just getting to the target and back. This game puts me RIGHT THERE. I started the one campaign that defaulted to the A-10, and so far have done four missions, one of which was a failure. The campaign has just enough to make me feel like I’m a part of something bigger, which is fiiiiiiine. So far it’s been strikes and close air support missions, which is what I want! YAY! Going back to play more!
So I lost my first campaign after neglecting to take care of some AAA near the target. I died and the Russians went nuclear.
AWESOME.
Now to try some of these other campaigns, plus dogfight practice in single mission mode because I am terrrrrrible.

Be sure to check out some of the mods for NATO and Vietnam. Great stuff. I loved zooming around in an f4 the first time I wasnt even upset when a missile knocked me out of the sky. Being able to fly an a7 and the tornado as well were also great.

There’s this campaign mode in strike fighters 2 where you’re a mercenary fighting some sheikhs war. You earn better kit, and that is such a sweet mechanism in a sum like this.
I remember earning a phantom and ruling the skies like a motherfucking missile spreading terminator of the sky.
Wait what? How does one do mercenary mode?
OH wait, I found it, apparently you can do any campaign in merc mode? Wow.
So someone on CombatAce pointed me to these tutorials. I watched the two-part mod installation video and got Operation Desert Storm installed, which is like a separate game! Neat!
TK just gave out the complete edition to all the Win 10 update donators.
Win 10 upgrade some time early next year.
