I find it kind of creepy to have a Syria simulation with the current situation in the country, a humanitarian disaster we helped cause. (And then walked away from, at which point the US media forgot Syria existed.)

Itās not about being a cult mate. Itās about enjoying what they deliver while knowing there are flaws (much like marriage :)). Completely agree people should know what they are getting into and there is value in being the thread grouch for that purpose alone. But calling people who enjoy DCS āa cultā is a bit over the top. Head over to the Star Citizen thread for a bit of relativity! :-p
Your adage misses the fact that if he didnāt get some enjoyment out of a rigged game it should be a no brainer to not play the game at all. Many who play DCS actually enjoy it even if it is the only game in town - warts and all. Nobody is chaining you to a wall and forcing you to play it.
