Eclipse = obtained. My FLGS had 4 copies, 2 being held for others.

Nice! Did they have it in stock, or just available for pre-order? It would have to be the latter, unless you’re currently in Europe. :-)

In stock. I have it, and I’m in the Milwaukee area.

Start a blog!

Yay, just got the English version of Ora et Labora! Can’t wait to play.

Definitely curious to see how that one goes. Where’d you find it in stock?

My FLGS has it as well. I didn’t know it was hard to find.

Wow! Not sure how that’s possible, but good for you!

I got it airmailed from Europe. I played it at BGG Con so I already know I really like it.

Mind… blown! There’s hope for the rest of us saps who preordered :)

Why do you have to live so far away

Review, stat! My retailer tells me it’ll be in store in about a week.

Also, you have a Christmas stocking in your ear.

Shit. How did that get there?

I’m hoping to be playing this on Friday. Just got everything punched out and organized.

There is a tiny elf living in your head and you were this close to catching the little bastard.

I preordered Eclipse from MiniatureMarket against my better judgment based on them taking their sweet time to ship out the last preorder I got from them, but with any luck I’ll have this before Christmas.

Any recommendations for a cooperative dungeon crawl type boardgame? We’ve played Talisman, and it’s fun, but the novelty’s wearing off a bit. I’m playing with a nine year-old, so something adversarial like Descent wouldn’t work well without it becoming some kind of Tomb of Horrors nightmare for him.

Speaking of which, is Descent being reprinted? The expansions are still around, but the base game seems to be out of production.

Thanks!

FFG is releasing a second edition early next year, so I doubt there will be any reprints. There has not been any big previews of the new edition yet, but there is some info on the FFG site.

Edit: BGWS dungeon crawl review video if you haven’t seen it already http://www.boardgameswithscott.com/?p=381

I have Wrath of Ashdarlon, and I think it and the other Dungeons and Dragons dungeon crawls would be lots of fun with a 9 year old. At least as long as you don’t think it’s too violent.

I’d be willing to sell my copy of Descent if you wanted it, Mike.
