Cool idea! But I will avoid it like the plague if it takes 15 minutes to set up only to come crashing down when someone accidentally bumps the table.

I think bumping the table, and blowing on it, and throwing stuff at the board are part of the game if I recall the preview I saw. This are all game mechanics.
Wow, I want to play that game. Too bad no one in the local groups I play with actually like any dexterity games. They even dislike Crokinole. Heathens!
The photo had me psyched about that game until I learned it was a dexterity game. Since mine is 3, I don’t play such games.
Also, I usually only manage to play board games with my mother-in-law, who is over 70 and has an even lower Dex.

Anyone have any thoughts for or experience with Marvel Legendary and Thunderstone Advanced (with the co-op expansion)? I am looking for deck building co-op games with fantasy theme.

I haven’t played thunderstone, but Marvel Legendary has enough theme and solid enough play to make not regret purchasing it. The art of the cards while good, is limited, with lots of reused art. The game is good and thematic, but isn’t groundbreaking or riveting to play. Its good, maybe a 7. If your a fan of marvel/comics, and theme is semi important to you and you enjoy deck building games, its well worth a look. Otherwise you mileage will very.
Fantasy Flight has just announced a new expansion for Battlestar Galactica to be released later this year. 12 new characters, including Doc Cottle and, uh, Hot Dog. And Xena! Also a bunch of other stuff. Go read.
I did end up purchasing Sentinels of the Multiverse and have not been disappointed. Thanks for the details, all those who posted them.
So… what’s the best expansion?
Good lord. I guess I can’t really blame Fantasy Flight for knowing when they’ve got a good thing going, but I already have two expansions, 75% of which I ignore when I play. Has anyone ever used that actual endgame trial stuff from that one expansion? And now we get mutinies, assault raptors, and “Welcome to Erf!” card.
Still, I can’t very pass up the chance to play Doc Cottle. Cathcart, you have to be Romo Lampkin and his imaginary cat.

The expansions are worth it just for more characters. I’ve never played with New Caprica and haven’t even incorporated Exodus with any groups I play with, but I like having them as options for when the base game with Pegasus starts getting a little stale. Nobody I play with is tired of being able to airlock each other yet, though.
The guys behind Sentinels of the Multiverse just started a kickstarter for their next title: Galactic Strike Force. It’s a co-op title where the more lawless members of galactic society take on invaders. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/gtgames/galactic-strike-force-the-cooperative-deck-buildin
They’re all basically the same thing - two new heroes, four new villains, two new environments. They’re all good, and I’d recommend all of them (the single deck mini-expansions also), but if you were going to buy just one, you’d want to look up what the heroes and villains in each set do and pick the one that appeals to you most. For me, that’s probably Infernal Relics, followed by Shattered Timelines, followed by Rook City. But again, they’re all cool.

I just entered into Sentinels with the new enhanced, second edition, whatever its called. Apparently some cards were fixed in addition to the awesome production values. How compatible are the expansions? I just wonder if I should wait or try to get the older ones.

I really wish I had a play session under my belt to comment further but the game seems to be a solid design with lots of theme.
The update in the Enhanced Edition was to bring the base set in line with the first expansion’s rules tweaks (Rook City). They’re all 100% compatible.
Tom Mc, you shouldn’t have a problem. I have the enhanced edition and bought all the expansions and they all work together great. Like malkav said, they updated the base game to use the “H” mechanic that was introduced in Rook City. The H mechanic just lets the villains do damage based on the number of heroes playing.
Nightgaunt, I would recommend infernal relics first. Rook City is great, but the villians there are just brutal…two of the hardest in the game (the Matriarch and the Chairman). I get the feeling that the whole set was designed to give the seasoned player a real challenge (the environments are tough as well). I also really like the new stuff (Shattered Timelines) and it blows my mind how the original set has pictures of villains and heroes from the new stuff. They planned this all out ahead of time and dropped hints all along. Really neat to see once you get everything together.
Fanboy mode off;)
The thing that scares me about that is the idea that they might have a defined end for the storyline and thus releases for the game. As far as I’m concerned, there’s almost infinite room for expanding it.
We don’t use everything but it’s gotta be more than 25%. The extra character, crisis, destination, quorum and skill cards add a lot of cool new stuff. Are you not using the Cylon Fleet Board?
We haven’t played with Cylon Leaders, alternate endings or conflicted loyalties because almost every game we play involves at least one new person, but after seeing this announcement I’m going to brush up on those rules and try to get a game happening soon.
And I’ll totally play Badger when you get the expansion. Or whatever Badger’s name is on BSG. I can’t do an awesome accent, though :(
Edit: Centurion minis! Battle Raptors! Yeah!

I listened to the podcast this morning and really dug the topic. Boardgame’s are my hobby right now so I am pretty involved in researching and playing various games.
My sacred cows I don’t like anymore, Dominion and Kingsburg. Both, because there are better games. Castles of Burgandy and Alien Frontiers did away with kingsburg and a few Acres of Snow, I don’t care that its ‘broken’, and Core Worlds are better deck builders.
I would have wanted to ask about Fury of Dracula as a co op. I never played Scotland Yard but Deacula probably would kill that one for me. I love the hidden movement and traps laid out across Europe. The day and night cycle has both sides trying to time attacks to thier advantage. Even though the uncertainty of Dracula’s position can keep a group guessing it could be essentially a two player game. But then Dracula only has to fool one player.
The dinosaurs and devil dogs concept sounds a lot like Timetripper an old SPI game where a Vietnam era soldier has his radio accidentally turned into a crude time machine and falls through. I am all for seeing another game like that. You would have the craziest stories about the time you saved Custer with a few grenades or took out a Trex with a LAW. Even when losing, wins essentially never happen you just go until you die and see what score you got, the story of getting turned into a pincushion by a Mongol army is still entertaining.

Better than Kingsburg!? Heresy! ANATHEMA!!
(Admittedly I haven’t played either Burgundy or Alien Frontiers… but when has that stopped someone from tossing around accusations of HERESY!?)
(I also haven’t seen any deck-builders as beautifully constructed as Dominion, but I get less exercised by that fight. Sure, plenty of games have better themes, but they pay for it by being more rigid and awkwardly wearing their deck-buildiness. I would rather play Eminent Domain, I guess, but I would never call it a better designed game than Dominion.)
