That was pretty alright! I’m not always in the mood for stuff that’s quite that grinding and blasty, but every so often, I just wanna be blitzed by a song, and that’d be perfect for those moments.

Yeah, a lead singer of a small touring band introduced me to them and said that was precisely when he listens to them.
Damn they’re playing in MA on Oct 31st. Can’t do that date… it’s Halloween and my daughter is Spongebob and I’m Patrick.
That new Ghost song is awesome and I’ve listened to it about 20 times already.
The tour is postponed atm. Richie had heart issues. Serious ones.
Yes, he finished the show. Insane. There’s nothing more Metal than that.

Animal as Leaders music represented edgy interpretative dance… somehow, it fits perfectly.
New album from Rivers of Nihil, too.
I adore the new The Dead Deads record, but this is probably the best new song I’ve heard all year because it has so much to say while also ripping and tearing. Find it on your favorite service.

I did not know they were touring with Candlebox until after they came through town last week. Damn.
Yeah, man. They were in Harrisburg too but I couldn’t do two concerts two nights in a row and I already had those The Struts tix for The Mann in Philly for Friday while TDD were Saturday. I didn’t go and still regret it.
They’ll be back. I suspect they’ll tour on this record for awhile. Ideally they’ll hook up with The Darkness again in 2022.

This is a ripper. Debut album from LA three-piece Vaelmyst - Secrypts Of The Egochasm.
They’re playing a really dynamic blackened melodic death metal, with a heavy trad HM/speed metal guitar influence.
This is pretty cool! I like the speedy stuff more than the blackend stuff, but there’s some good hooks in here and in general a complexity that’s really neat!

Very excited I got Gojira/Knocked Loose tix for November. It’s 2.5 hours away at a nice new venue in Huntsville, AL on a school night, but I don’t care. (Same venue at which I will see Badflower for the 5th time on Sunday)

I’m guessing anyone here who likes melodeath will probably have listened to Be’lakor’s latest album? I’ve been reluctant to listen largely because laptop speakers != my home sound system or computer sound bar… So not sure how I feel, similar to Insomnium’s latest EP.
I’m here to share the first track to really grab my attention though has been Hidden Window. I’m loving the groove to this song.
