Day #21 - a little band called Black Sabbath
Never Mind the Bollox, here’s the new Obscura

Day #23 - Blind Guardian
One of my favorite bands! I’ve been listening to them since I was… 15 years old I believe.
What should I put? some of their most famous ballad? Maybe something more intense like Punishment Divine? Nightfall, as it was the album that established them as a great band? Maybe something more classic, like Time what it time?
In the end I’ve chosen their Wheel of Time song, given that today a new episode of the series airs

New Volbeat is out today:
I hadn’t heard them in a while, but yeah that sounds like Volbeat.
Day #24 - Bôa
https://youtu.be/Uoox9fpmDP0
A brief pause in Metal, as Bôa are indie rock. They were a minor hit when some of their songs were used on the cult anime Serial Experiments Lain, but from what I can see, they did three albums at the end of the 90s/start of the 00s, and then they went missing. I suppose now they are working in an office or in a bar or something.
Day #25 - Brainstorm

As you can see, very classic Heavy Metal. I like the singer 's voice. I dare to say they are an underrated band.
It’s that time of year, when someone releases a metal Christmas album. Nothing too heavy in this case, mostly melodic. From The Animal in Me:
The very greatest of bands. Been at my top since, god, 2001?
Day #26 - Bruce Dickison (I mean, as solo artist)

Day #27 - Buckethead
aka the weird guy with the bucket
Day #28 - Bullet for my Valentine

I will use up the chance to post that video, that I hadn’t watched before. It seems they have released a new album some months ago!
…this is a bit heavier than I remembered them. I thought at first they had changed singers!
Day #29 - Circus Maximus

Tremendous two first albums in the progressive metal scene. Biosfear is a favorite instrumental song of mine. Although in the last two albums they switched up a bit their style, and I like them less.

Really been enjoying the new Imminence album.
Violins and metal are always fun, but that’s probably the heaviest song.
Most are more in this vein:

I thought their first album was an exceptional debut, but definitely leads itself a bit much to ‘this is the Dream Theater song, this is the Queensryche song’ type aping. Isolate was a superb second effort and showed them as their own band, rather than talented mimics.
Speaking of Queensryche, they’re now supporting Judas Priest when they pick up the tour again this spring!
New EP from Blind Guardian

It sounds like an interesting mix of their previous albums. A bit of Imaginations in the heavyness, but mixed with more playfulness and from the last albums. The theme is Salem’s witch trials, I believe.

Day #30 - Clawfinger

From this people I only have this album, but it’s pretty banging
@Tyjenks and maybe @ArmandoPenblade and any others who wish to witness Rock.
Excited for the tour, frontman Justin Hawkins cheekily commented, “You there, in the Americas — hear me, and hear me well: The Darkness know your pain, know that you have cried yourselves to sleep every night, bereft of quality English rock music. Well, desist from weeping and pull up your fully grown adult pants — salvation is upon you! As doctors, we UNDERSTAND the healing power of rock music and we have instructed our minions to make arrangements for us to visit your moderately distant shores. The cryogenically sealed Tupperware box of roadies has been set to ‘Thor’ and the mighty winged chariot has been dusted off. Remember — one lick of Darkness sweat and you will be cured — you will literally walk again, without Covid or anything! But what price freedom and eternal life, I hear you ask? To you sir, about thirty bucks (plus local taxes and booking fee). Now get the fuck in!”
