I’m partial to their Unification album.
Day #75 - Isis

One of the founders of the ‘post metal’ subgenre, they dissolved in 2010.
Day #76 - James LaBrie
Yes, the singer of Dream Theater, because he has a few solo albums too. In fact I’m seeing on the wiki he will release a new one in 2022, Beautiful Shade of Gray.

Really nice voice. It’s a pity when he barely uses it (in songs with generic growling, I mean, because when he does it, he sounds like any other growler)
It’s the year of our Lord 2022 and I just learned this group exists, and dammit, it counts, they’re quality and Metal:

They’re hilarious, in proper doses.
Day #77 - Jinjer

I remember I watched one time this song in Youtube, and they were recommending me more of them for months just because of that. Freaking algorithm.

Cannot wait to see Jinjer with In this Moment and Slipknot. In this Moment and Maria Brink put on a great live show. She does numerous wardrobe changes and it is all very theatrical.
Day #79 - Judas Priest
One of the fathers of the genre.

Rob Halford, metal’s sacred leather daddy.
It wasn’t until recently that I learned that the whole black leather and chrome aesthetic from metal originated specifically from Judas Priest, and from him… and that he in turn took it from the gay community in the 70s, as he is gay.

I don’t normally care for Whitechapel much, but this was pretty decent.
Day #80 - Junius
I found funny that in the official description from the record company, they are called ‘metalgaze’.
Day #81 - Kamelot
A veteran band , which to be honest, I never listened a lot. I should fix that.
They’re so good live, both during the Roy era and the modern one.

Seeing Volbeat & Ghost tonight! Very excited.

One of my favorites, and really the jumping off point for me, along with Dream Theater, into the prog metal scene.
Lucky! Enjoy the awesome show :D

A few shots from last night:
Concert was awesome. Volbeat I had only ever seen at a stadium open for Metallica - they put on an outstanding show. Ghost I’ve now seen 6 times - performance was also great. They opened with a brand new song that isn’t released yet which is kind of weird. No one knows the words or anything so they probably should have put that mid set list not as an opener.
