Day #149 - Seventh Wonder
More prog! I put a video from a new album
Something more heavy for today
Day #150 - Shadows Fall

Man I miss Shadows Fall. @TurinTur are you posting every band you like or what is the criteria?
The bands I have music stored in my collection. Well, skipping a few ones that aren’t metal or rock related, obviously. If I have them, it’s implied I like them of course, although there has been a pair of cases that raised my eyebrows (stuff I hadn’t listened in a decade+).
And let’s see what brings this day… it seems something more rock oriented:
Day #151 - Shinedown
https://youtu.be/J6sIK2KnhH8
For today, I’m skipping the next entry of my Plex collection, Shrinebuilder, it seems it was a very one time collaboration thing of Neurosis and other people for a small album, not a established separate ‘artist’ entity. But you can listen to it.
Day #152 - Silent Civilian
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gU-anT2W-xU
“Silent Civilian is a metalcore band originating from Los Angeles, California. Following his departure from synth-metal band Spineshank in 2004, frontman Jonny Santos felt he wanted to move in a different direction musically and start from scratch.”
(Oh I didn’t know the connection with Spineshank)

Sometimes the Youtube algorithm does alright.
It’s not the next Orbit Culture, Spiritbox or anything, but I’m enjoying it.
Day #153 - Skindred
https://youtu.be/DSFnygzsLnk
Pretty different from the power or prog metal I usually put.
Yeah, not bad.
Bring back pix please!
I’ve recently discovered Justin Hawkins’ YouTube Channel, and it’s been a very pleasant experience. Cool guy.
Day #154 - Slayer

I’m partial to God hates us all.
Day #155 - Sleep
"Perhaps the ultimate stoner rock band, Northern California trio Sleep had a career that wafted in and out of focus from within their self-mandated cloud of marijuana smoke. In their time together, they issued some of the heaviest, most uncompromising doom metal albums ever recorded. "
Dopesmoker is the pinnacle of stoner/doom

What if the lead singer of Lorna Shore (who is basically a demon) decided to sing some Sleep Token?
Apparently you’d find out he’s got a solid clean voice.
For those not familiar with his usual style:

It’s something that I have noticed with a few ‘growlers’, where in some songs, they have a short section with clean voices and they sound good, and I’m like ‘ughh then why do you have to shout all the time??’
Today, another famous band
Day #156 - Slipknot

New Haken song
I mean that’s really all I need to say isn’t it

That’s good, yeah.
Day #157 - Slough Feg
A bit of more classical vibe here.

Kirk Hammett’s solo EP is out, and I really quite like it:
I have video and photos. Just been too busy to get them up here yet. Soon! They were phenomenal, as were The Dead Deads. One of my favorite shows I’ve been to.
New Saor is everything I’ve wanted in life
But so is this.
