Rockstar took their time, but it’s mostly grief-proof now.

I also wish wild horses could be claimed. Maybe that will become a thing as Cripps expands his business empire, not sure. But at least you can still make use of wild and stolen horses for carrying carcasses and bounties. Sort of. And there are a lot of slots in the stable now, although I only use three (Breton, Fox Trotter, and Turkoman.)

Great! Having my sister get headshot while I was logging in did not start for a good play-through last time we did it. The jaguar, I think it was a jaguar any, that knocked me off my horse and nearly killed me until she knifed it… now that was fun. Good pelt too.

This happens, but it can be mitigated if you (or the posse leader) turn on Defensive Mode immediately after spawning in. Hurting (even finding) someone who is in Defensive Mode requires a lot of effort.

Did it have spots.

Yes, sorry I’m on the Box. No PS this generation (though I had one sitting in my shopping cart when Spiderman was released).

We were near a swamp, and I was dying under it. My sister had it killed and skinned before some randos started heading out way.

I don’t remember jaguars in the original game, but there are a few areas of the game I have no opened up yet. There were cougars and I think panthers thus far. And for some odd reason I thought all the panthers were black (but yes spotted). This one was not black.

“Black panthers” are just melanistic individuals of various cat species (jaguars, leopards, etc.). I asked if it was spotted because although the jaguar’s range does extend a (very) short way into the southwest of America, given the game’s general milieu I would expect it to have been a cougar/mountain lion.

I am very familiar with the cougars in this game. It was not a cougar.

I mentioned specifically it had spots which tells us not as much because black panthers have spots, like we both said.

The problem is, we had to leave in a hurry before some rando’s hunted us down because that’s the way the game was playing then. You tried to play the game around people who just shoot other people for fun which was… not fun. You sure as heck could rarely get to town to sell something like a pelt. You might as well just walked down the road with a bulls-eye on your back.

Maybe it was El Jefe.

When my group finally gets around to demanding this game, I am sure some random ass cat will catch me off guard in a swamp again, because that’s my luck, and then I’ll know for sure since we will be able to stick around for a minute in one place now that the all you can grief buffet might be closed.

The are mountain lions/cougars in the north.

Panthers in the south. Near Braithwaite Manor.

Season 2 Outlaw Pass coming soon, likely for all platforms. I’m guessing PC won’t get the Season 1 Pass, which means players on that platform will miss out on a few special outfits/items this time around, but the platforms will probably all be in sync starting with Season 2.

If you’re digging RDO the Outlaw Pass, which quickly pays for itself, is definitely worth picking up. It’s purchased with gold and you get all that gold back by the time you complete the Pass.

I seriously doubt this. Is there a way to cash out in-game gold?

It’s absolutely true. Outlaw Pass 1 rewarded you with gold as you ranked up, and you got the gold you spent to purchase it back by the time you completed it. I did this with two characters. Dunno if the same will be true the next time around. And no, RS doesn’t let you cash out.

Are you talking about spending real money or in-game gold. If it is real money, then I think that’s what’s being referred to.

My understanding is these seasons passes can be purchased with both real money and in game gold… right?

We’re talking about in-game gold (35 bars IIRC), which can be acquired naturally while playing the game or more quickly by spending real cash money if you don’t want to grind for it. I don’t think the pass can be purchased with anything but in-game gold.

How quickly? Not by someone speedgrinding for gold. Just “normal” casual-ish play. Like someone that logs on for a handful of hours a week tooling around fishing, hunting, and maybe a couple of events.

About 140 hours. You can grind about 0.25 gold bars an hour.

Casually, without grinding missions? Never.

I think I completed the pass in about half that time? Mostly via trade missions and bounties while in a posse, so semi-grindy but it didn’t feel grindy.

No thanks.

I looked through the rewards it had, and there’s no way I would’ve made it out of the 20’s, let alone the max of 70 within the time limit.

Breaking this down, I would’ve had to buy the 55 gold bars for $19.99 to get the required 35 bars for the pass. For me, this is a terrible deal. Like, truly awful.

So, no. This absolutely would not pay for itself.
