I thought Eurogamer said they were hinting at some kind of PvE zombie mode other than just the battle pass?
You are the worst person in the entire world, Nick. THE ENTIRE WORLD!!!1!
If this doesn’t come true, you and Eurogamer will be the second worst person in the entire world.

They got it based off this official newswire post.
Sounds like a combination of PvP and PvE.
Yeah, they could clean up with an updated single player Undead Nightmare type thing.

I would just like to play RDR2 with friends and not worry about the PVP crap… at all. It just seems like they’re not interested in that aspect.

I got sucked in by RDR2 again when my brother started playing. I played RDR2 the way I played Skyrim, in that I spent more time free roaming and exploring every inch of the map than I did in the actual story missions. So I actually dreaded going back in and having to replay a bunch of stuff, but I wanted to be able to help my brother out with tips, like how to easily tame the White Arabian you can get in the beginning of the game, etc.
But I’ll be damned if that amazing world didn’t suck me back in. And I would so love for my brother and I to be able to explore this world and play this game in a coop mode, without any PVP annoyances at all.
Yeah same here. I recall being able to do something like set up a private lobby in RDR1 on the 360 and invite 2 of my friends, we just did some hunting, maybe some bandit camps etc. But it was a good way to catch up and just chat while riding through the countryside since I had moved abroad at the time. Is that possible with RDR2? I’m guessing it isn’t, that’s a pity.
Red Dead Redemption 2 online is totally viable as a single-player experience. Unlike GTAV, there’s tons to do without playing it as a multiplayer game.

It sort of is, but it was a pain in the ass to get on the same server with your friends, and then you set-up this temp posse which you have to keep setting up because just forming like a permanent guild is locked behind… something. You can roam around and do thing on the map together, but quests designed for PVE are kind of okayish at most. I started one while our third person was goofing off with some sort of big cat trying to eat him and then he couldn’t join our quest with another cat trying to eat us.
It just wasn’t that great, and you’re still running into random people that won’t leave you alone or these live events that always seem PVP.
It just seems like, they’ve already got a game here. It’s a nice rich world, decent mechanics, why not let some coop gangs just play around in a world without running into other player nonsense. Also the first time my sister joined me, she got snipped in the head trying to switch servers, like first five minutes. It’s not like she had anything, and I believe that’ because you have to turn yourself off from PVP instead of turn it on.
I’d probably pay for an expansion pack if it just gave me that beautiful world to roam around with people I want to roam with and some quests.
I mean sure, you can totally play RDO like a single player game, but you’ll still be at the mercy of the occasional griefer. It is better than GTA Online though.
So, is this going to be a real thing? Sounds too common-sensy and money-makingy not to be. Hopefully RDR1 will finally embrace PC as well. Definitely looking forward to playing both games back to back in higher quality.
Uh, do want.
But I is that just a remake of the original or does it also include an upgraded RDR2? Because I want both.

It says it’s got Arthur and “visual upgrades,” although it’s a bit vague whether or not those apply to both games.
I’d hope it’s kind of a Spiderman bundle with the remade original being the star and the bonus of RDR2 being enhanced to take advantage of the new goodies. If so, I’m down for it.

That standalone RDO thing is out:

For $5, this sounds great. Son already has the game on PS4, be he opted for PS Now instead of PS Plus so doesn’t currently have all the online stuff available - and this would give it back.
That 120GB download though…

Anyone play the PC version online?
I don’t play online games much, but I’ve kinda been thinking about giving this one a chance. I played maybe an hour of RDO on the Xbox, but I know they’ve fleshed it out A LOT since then.
