True, but I think the mission variety is better in RDR (and GTA5). My main issue with the GTA games is that in pretty short order every mission turns into “go kill some folks then run from the cops”. While there is a lot of “go do X for me” in RDR, I generally felt like “X” was more fun.

I think RDR is the best Rockstar game. Can’t believe it does not have a PC port or a sequel (yet).

I got sucked into finishing my XCOM Enemy Within game. I think I’ll play RDR for an hour before bed and it will be tomorrow’s game.

I noticed there is a setting to turn off the quest markers. Is this a game where that’s appropriate, or are they needed?
Are you supposed to explore at all or just go where you’re told? I’m at the ranch now and have been walking and riding with Bonnie. Shot me some rabbits. Went to shoot a coyote and accidentally shot my horse. Figured it was a good time to go to sleep.
Do wha’ever tickles yer fancy pardner…
sob Remaster this for my PC, Rockstar. sob

I trekked across the map to resolve my first wanted poster. I got close and walked through the bushes. Unfortunately they saw me and closed in, but because I was in the bushes I couldn’t see where they were to get a shot off. I was dead in seconds. Came back for a second try and approached from higher ground. Picked 2 off from afar, then they charged up the hill after me where I picked them off one by one from behind a tree. Much easier.
After I killed the wanted guy and the rest I was going to search their hideout and more guys kept appearing 2 at a time. I killed several waves and then 3 showed up at once. I decided to get on my horse and get out of there to collect my reward.
So far I like the main character. The banter with Bonnie is amusing. It would be cool of this were on the PC with sharper visuals.
Or lock this thread until the Xbox One backwards compatibility gets released…

It must be getting close, since you can do it right now through an exploit. Basically it only works with a digital copy of the game so far, and you have to have a friend with Red Dead Redemption in their games list.
But if it works through this exploit, I’m sure it’s probably in testing right now, and being able to play my disc version through backwards compatibility can’t be too far behind.

So how do I pull down my cloud saves for this game?
So; Any word on a PC Version?
They can even sell shark cards for it, if that makes it more possible to get the game to the PC.
Wonder how the PRISM ONE version plays compared to the three-sexy.
Apparently they just closed the loophole. No word on when this will be activated, but hey, at least we know it’s in the works. Did you get to try it Kadath, before they shut it down? Apparently now when you try to launch it, it says it requires an update. An update that’s not available yet.
Yeah it’s not working now, but definitely shows that it’s been in the works and potentially close to being released. Meanwhile there’s also news that RDR2 is long in development and due for release in Q4… probably gets an E3 announcement.

On PC right? Peeeeeeee Ceeeeeeeeeeee
You can steam from Xbone to windows 10 so once the BC is announced you can play on PC!
No, you can play on the Xbone and broadcast the video to a PC monitor, which is not at all the same thing and in fact dramatically inferior from both a “having to buy an Xbone” and “streaming lag” perspective.
I experience no streaming lag whatsoever when I play my XB1 on PC
Same here. Play NHL16 and Rory PGA through streaming w/o any issue what so ever. So RDR should work just fine. Still not as good as a true PC version, but…
