I had a friend years ago who’d worked on RDR. He assured me that due to the spaghetti code required to get the game out on time there would likely never be a PC version.

Of course, the game’s enduring popularity may have changed that, but I doubt it.

Apparently they just closed the loophole. No word on when this will be activated, but hey, at least we know it’s in the works. Did you get to try it Kadath, before they shut it down? Apparently now when you try to launch it, it says it requires an update. An update that’s not available yet.

Yeah it was flawless but didn’t allow me to see my cloud saves, so I gave up pretty quickly…

I’ve read that same story numerous times now, so I seriously doubt that RDR will ever show up on PC. Though I do reckon the sequel will make its way to PC (though probably loooong after the console releases like they did with GTA5). That will be a tough wait! Really loved RDR, but I don’t own a current gen console…

You can steam from Xbone to windows 10 so once the BC is announced you can play on PC!

No, you can play on the Xbone and broadcast the video to a PC monitor, which is not at all the same thing and in fact dramatically inferior from both a “having to buy an Xbone” and “streaming lag” perspective.

I think that was the joke. Though, of course, no RDR on PC is no laughing matter. You hear me, Rockstar?!

I had no idea Tim Rogers had novelized the entirety of RDR’s plot and made a 30 minute video of it for Kotaku when he used to work there.
