Hence, any illegal activity involving corruption conducted by Hunter Biden within or in relation to Ukraine would fall under the purview of the Office of Vice President Biden and the Obama State Department’s anti-corruption efforts. In fact, many State Department officials within the Obama Administration repeatedly registered reservations about Hunter Biden’s role on the board of a corrupt company. Thus, any instances of corruption on behalf of Hunter Biden via his role as a board member of the Ukrainian-operated Burisma energy firm were intentionally not investigated or covered up.
- In 2016, Ukraine’s top anti-corruption prosecutor, Viktor Shokin, had an active and ongoing investigation into Burisma and its owner, Mykola Zlochevsky. At the time, Hunter Biden continued to serve on Burisma’s board of directors. According to news reports, then Vice-President Biden “threatened to withhold $1 billion in United States loan guarantees if Ukraine’s leaders did not dismiss [Shokin].” After that, Ukraine’s Parliament fired Shokin.
- During his father’s vice presidency, Hunter Biden built many business relationships with foreign nationals and received millions of dollars from foreign sources, seemingly in exchange for access to his father. The financial transactions which Hunter engaged in illustrates serious counterintelligence and extortion concerns relating to Hunter Biden and his family.
- President Biden gravely endangered the security of the United States and its institutions of government. Through blatant nepotism, he enabled his son to influence foreign policy and financially benefit as a result of his role as Vice President. He supported his son engaging in collusion with Chinese Communist party-linked officials. He allowed his son to trade appointments with his father and other high-ranking administration officials in exchange for financial compensation. He permitted his son to take money from Russian oligarchs, including Elena Baturina, the wife of the former mayor of Moscow.

Speaking just for myself, I think this is an interesting thread to have. Yes it has some overlap with all the other threads you cited, but at the same time it is interesting to discuss what honest or (mostly) dishonest rhetoric the Republicans will be using to justify obstructionism and attempt to derail Democratic initiatives. Especially because I’m curious if they just play the hits (deficit, personal freedoms, states rights) or attempt to keep the Trump faithful in the big tent by throwing them red meat.
The viral attacks on the Biden administration I am seeing are not mostly on mainstream news, on Fox, and only some are on FB. The subject and message is more important than the medium, IMHO, which seems to be EVERYTHING BIDEN DOES IS BAD AND EVERYTHING BAD IS NOW BIDENS FAULT.
I can’t excise every Republican, Trumper, and Q-believer from my life, and I need to know the idea morass which feeds them.
Nah, I think this thread serves a useful purpose.
However, one thing that would make it better, would be if the bullshit talking points came with a link to stuff explaining how they were bad/wrong, because some might not be obvious.
Headline and the first paragraph to make you wonder if Biden actually hates or disrespects the US military.
Then a whole article saying “but actually every president redecorates the WH and the oval to suit his preferences.”
I still say the existence of threads in P&R is just a shared delusion. Arguing about their necessity of a particular thread is like arguing how any angles can dance on the head of a pin, or who makes the best deep dish “pizza”.
This article in our newspaper does a great job in combatting/rejecting multiple conspiracy talking points including national guard turning their backs on Biden, Harris not putting her hand on the bible and a person who created a false account on Telegram impersonating General Hyten of the Joint Chiefs of staff:
