It’s not all that hard to find your book. You open the app and your current book displays. As long as I only have 3-4 reading apps I don’t see it being a problem. I seldom re-read books. In fact when I get an e-reader I’ll probably archive each book when I finish it so I don’t clutter up my list of books.
Anyway, I tried to strip DRM and I couldn’t do it. I’m not exactly computer illiterate, either. I read the notes, got the right plugin, installed according to instructions, and ran it and it still stalled on me because it wanted a PID number I don’t have. I’m sure there are other ways to strip the DRM but it seems to be more trouble than it’s worth. There are other books to read.
Most of this discussion is moot for me anyway. I think I’m getting a Nook for Christmas. I just won’t bother with Amazon-exclusive books.
