I’m surprised publishers haven’t sought to shut them down. We were at one time interested in reproducing game manuals for a few mid and late '90s (these were for war games from the era, so you can imagine their importance), but we were quickly informed that this would be a big no-no.
Although the need is there. We frequently get requests that for manuals, not to mention dozens of questions which could be easily answered by the manual.
