Ridiculous Movies (but not B movies)

Can confirm Turbo Kid is amazing.

I went back through the thread and am surprised that Flesh Gordon isn’t mentioned.

Candy Samples. Penisauruses. Golden phallic space ship. Sex ray. Great stuff.

Well it would probably be a bit more notable if you found a porn movie that wasn’t ridiculous, don’t you think?

It’s a comedy, not a porn movie. Seriously, it’s funny in a sick way. Lets just say I last watched it under the influence of a certain smokable substance so YMMV.

OK, I confess I haven’t seen it, just going by reputation. So is it like Galaxina? If you haven’t seen it, kind of a sex comedy sci-fi thing. But leaned way more on the comedy - Avery Schreiber is in it, for pete’s sake.

Hmmm… One star on Rotten Tomatoes. On Netflix.

Dennis Hopper in Space Truckers.

If you know that name you are old. I do remember seeing him in some pretty strange roles but I don’t think I have seen that movie.

Hmm I don’t consider this a B movie , but I might be wrong. :)

I just got back from seeing Sorry To Bother You, and it’s pretty ridiculous. It doesn’t know if it wants to be Putney Swope, Snowpiercer, or a rom-com. Good to see Oakland in a movie, though.

Holy shit! I just came in here to post about the same movie. It’s completely ridiculous. Not so sure that it is ‘good’, but I am interested in the ideas presented and would like to see more from the writer/director.

1981’s Condorman. Disney. $14 million budget. Stars Michael Crawford (yes, the Phantom of the Opera) Oliver Reed, and Barbara Carrera.

I remember that movie - I had the novelization as a kid! Haven’t thought about that in decades. That’s a great candidate for this thread.

Gabriele Salvatores’ Nirvana:

Yes, that is Highlander. It also has this soundtrack original:

This should be ridiculous (if done properly):

Sorry if this is the wrong thread to put it in, but i can’t think of a clever name for a dedicated thread. This is the first time i have heard of this adaptation and it sounds like it’s actually happening. Not having seen Skull Island or any of the director’s other works i cant really form an opinion, but he seems to be a genuine fan. His contention that audiences are bored of the three act structure does slightly worry me however.
