The usual way, you give them your email address, make up a password, and so on and so forth. Did you have problems with it?

I just don’t know how or where to do it :-)

Yep, just go to their page at raptr.com, enter your email and a password, and verify via the email they send you. Then there’s some ‘subscribe to communities’ for various games which you don’t need to do.

Then you should be able to enter your Steam id number (from your steam profile url) … and done! Just make sure your Steam profile is public so they can read it in, and you should be informed of any applicable rewards that you can redeem.

I believe that reward also requires that you install and run the Raptr desktop app, and if you have it scan for installed games it will find and track Rift (among other games) if you have it installed. But in that case it won’t be retroactive - you will actually have to have the full Rift client running for the required number of hours (14 at the moment, but it’s based on a percentage of the total userbase so the number will go up as more people play for longer with Raptr tracking the game.).

Thanks guys - I’ll do just that as I get home!

Ah yeah, so you do need to install and run the desktop client at least once to get the Storm Legion key.

I left my PC on overnight with Rift running and just got my code. That’s a really great deal.

Not sure if this has been addressed but does anyone know the status of players that bought the game say, when it was released? I was looking through the page and I just see mention of “new” players. Will I get to keep my level 50 the way it is now just sitting there? Do I need to start all over again?

The latter would pretty much suck but that said, Rift is a great game- the events, especially the attacks on the cities, were some of the most mmo fun I have had- and I am really looking forward to this change. I really am over the subscription format.

Trion seems to be extremely competent at making games (if a little uninspired). I’d be very surprised if sub characters don’t carry over into f2p. That’s the kind dumbass thing you’d expect Cryptic to do, not Trion.

If you ever purchased the box and created an account, you get full privileges; full bag and character slots. You will also get loyalty rewards based upon how many months you maintained a subscription. Imagine you subscribed to Rift right now. When F2P starts, you will get that exact same experience for free. Your characters will be there waiting for you.

If you don’t purchase the expansion (or get it through Raptr) you will need to pay to unlock the new souls. So definitely do the Raptr thing, it’s really easy.

Ahh ok good to know–thanks. Plus I grabbed the app- so my bags will be full when I do get on.

So I think I did the Raptr thing, but how do I know it worked? I got the codes and entered them and it said Legion plus 30 days, but when I log in it tells me “your party is full, subscribe to…” Wasn’t part of the expansion code 30 days of subscription time? Not that big of a deal as I was mostly curious at this point, but does this mean I don’t have Legion activated either?

Have you played Rift previously? If you have then you only get the Storm Legion unlock, not the game time.

Existing accounts don’t get the game time.

D’oh!

Oops. Yeah I had a previous account. Oh well, I guess I am set to take a peek once FtP goes live then I suppose. I do kinda miss the soul class system and the fairly narrative dungeons. Thanks for the replies.

Just wanted to drop in and say thanks to stusser. Got my Raptr code yesterday, no problemo.

Does anyone else have a raptr code they could spare?

You don’t get extra codes. You sign up, run raptr, load the game up and let it run for 13 hours. That gets you a code to use for yourself. I was thanking stusser for pointing it out. Link on page 91 I think.

Do I need to own the game previously?
