ha! Not even a full day after I pull the trigger on a purchase and they start free trials.

It took more than 6 hours for me to download last night. I am now looking for information on different builds. Is there a nice wiki or whatever?

For my Geomancer quest (in order to unlock it), I have to use a quest item to open a rift. I’m assuming they want me to go to one of the blue cracks that appear on my map and use the item, right?

Every time I see one of these and ride towards it, it’s open before I get there. Is there something I’m missing?

Nope - you just have to participate in closing a rift- at the end, you get a special soul stone as a reward. Then you use the special item, to summon the soul of the legendary (in your case) Chloromancer, and have to defeat him. Then return to the trainer, and you will have unlocked the soul

Once you have the quest just close any rift. In your rift rewards will be a plane shard. Then use the quest item to summon the npc you need to kill.

All of the “Trion’s different!!” talk just got flushed with today’s patch, though. Seems like they hit critical mass of former employees from failed games because 1.1 could have been for Warhammer/AoC/Vanguard/SWG/etc.

I have gone from “fanboy!” to “trust but verify” to hoping to not see “well, maybe this will turn it around” levels of faith in the company itself. Hopefully this trajectory is wrong but how many other games have I been excited about only to see not get off the ground or ruined soon after launch?

Sorry to be so positive on the game and so mixed on Trion. I really hope we get more Hartsmann and less whomever sank WAR in the near future.

Eh? Trion did very few things wrong with today’s patch, and very many things right.
