Sadly it was probably due to Covid and his many other health issues. He was hospitalized with Covid-19 at the end of 2020.
I checked his twitter, no updates since after Thanksgiving until todays post. He must have been sick for awhile.

Jesse Thorn’s interview with Larry King on his podcast about interviewing, The Turnaround, was really enlightening. King really was someone who was not afraid to feel stupid by asking a question, and it made him a great interviewer.
