Well, he had a great run — creating from the Golden Age right up to the end. His Spirit layouts were so far ahead of their time. Smart guy, too.
I liked the fact I could order any graphic novel from Amazon that listed him as the author and I would enjoy it. :(
I met him once and spoke to him and his wife. I have a signed poster of his on my wall and I asked him to sign A contract with God, which I gave my parents as an anniversary present - he was touched, that someone would give one of his books to parents.
A great artist and a nice person.
