Read the full articleSpeaking as someone that's been playing his retail copy again recently, I'll point out that the original game supports widescreen just fine, and the direct IP multiplayer support still works beautifully too. That said, it's nice to see this gem of a game finally get to digital distribution, so a new generation of gamers can discover it. It really is, still, the best game of its kind IMO.
Does anyone know if they're keeping direct IP connect intact in this version? Steam matchmaking is fine and all, but it's always nice to have a direct option for those times when Steam goes sideways (especially around the big sales).
Awesome, RON was one of my favorite strategy games. Now we just need Rise of Legends back with multiplayer that works and I'll be happy.
I just want to confirm that it already supports pretty much any resolution you please.
I hope that it does well and doesn't just appeal to the nostalgic crowd. I think it's the best RTS of all time, so it's sad to think that some people might pass it up for being old.
