Haven’t downloaded a single thing yet… and a lot of the stuff they’ve put out there doesn’t spark my interest at all.

I’m guessing that they might be pushing out more broader content to suck in more people. imho this is a great idea… I’m much more likely to play Rock Band in a family setting with Pop songs by No Doubt then stuff from say Judas Priest.

Love RTTH though… always loved that song :)

I surprises me that someone could look at all of the DLC released thus far and not find a single thing worth downloading. There is something for just about everyone there.

I think that’s the problem Pumpkinhead. There’s just so much DLC out there now, that if you come into it new, I think it’s easy to look at the list and see Metallica and some other major bands, and get the impression that the whole list is too hardcore. There are, in fact, some great pop tunes in there, they’re just harder to find.

Wow, Nothing’s Shocking will be awesome. I’ve been hoping for stuff off of Strays as well.

I like Colour and the Shape, but with Everlong already in the game, there’s other stuff I’d like to see from them. Their latest has actually grown on me in a big way – The Pretender was an awesome DLC release in GH3, and I’d love the chance to sing / play drums on it. I’d like to hope C&S will include their Baker Street cover (included on reissues), but I doubt it.

The Colour and the Shape is a strange choice; there are some seriously fantastic songs on there but some of the songs just, you know, aren’t. I’ll definitely line up for Hey, Johnny Park! and Everlong though.

Insanity. Nothing Shocking is the best JA album. I can’t believe they are releasing the whole thing. Just amazing! Pigs in Zen will be great fun!

Boy those guys over at the other forum that delerium quoted earlier are probably not happy about the replacement DLC Locksley pack.

I’ve never heard of them, and the Youtube videos in that link don’t sound all that great, at least on a first listen.

Well, I kinda like the Hives. I think they’re representative of the best strain of rock right now, which is the rough & raw, stripped down, retro-ish stuff. If it were any other decade, they’d be nothing special, but rock has fallen into such a pit of suck since about 1998 that they’re among the best the genre has to offer now.

But whoever those guys were in the videos (don’t even care enough to click to the last page and find their name) are not that cool.

The second and third songs both sound like fun to play, and I don’t dislike them. I prefer this to a lot of the stuff that’s been released.

I saw on the RockBandDLC twitter that they’re announcing a $3 PAX pack with Coulton, MC Frontalot and MC Chris. Also for an unspecified amount an Offspring pack with Pretty Fly (for a White Guy), Gone Away, and Self Esteem.

Not a big Nerdcore fan but I’m down with some Offspring.
