What’s Jimmy eat world then? Cos I like Jimmy eat world. The Killers and maybe one MCR song. But if I have to listen to DC, i feel like clawing on a blackboard for a more pleasant audio experience.

Jimmy Eat World started as emo, they moved a bit more into just general rock though.

I really like Last Resort. I’ll get that one for sure. I’ll check out the Pornographers song. The very few songs I’ve heard by them have been hit or miss for me, but that’s what youtube is for!

I wonder if there are ANY music publishers left who will resist the Rock Band juggernaut? I realised the other day that Rockband DLC is the only music I’ve bought in the past year.

The only band I like that will probably never be in Rock Band is NOFX. They’ve bitched about MTV for decades, but they did end up in Guitar Hero so that’ll have to do.

With the Beatles and Metallica both entering the plastic rock world I don’t see many holdouts. Maybe U2?

That also implies no Me First and the Gimme Gimmes (or really any Fat Wreck Chords artists, since Fat Mike runs the show there), which makes me sad. Not that they would ever be able to license that stuff anyway, but still.

My gf knows The Duke so I told her to email him and ask why Sisters of Mercy isn’t in the game, and he said Andrew doesn’t want his music in a video game.

I hope Bad Religion throws more in, there’s very few holdouts indeed now. Seems like most bands are happy to have anything that gets people interested in music again, and if their music is the thing being sold, why not?

I’m pretty sure I’ve bought three albums in the last year at most (And that’s from favorite bands), everything else has been on Rock Band, and I’m apparently far from the only one.
