That does beg the question of when the RBN stuff will go live. I am skeptical it will be any time sooner than ‘before christmas’.

Wonder if we’ll ever see any Pink Floyd. I’m always amazed that more rights holders aren’t throwing their music at RB and GH teams. It must generate so many album sales. I’ve discovered two bands, and bought their music off iTunes, just because of RB.

So sad there is no Floyd. Hopefully someday.

Yes, ‘Have a Cigar’ please!

Enjoyed the Gorillaz tracks. White Rabbit was fun too. I’ll get Janis next week.

To me, Gorillaz is boring boring boring!

So, you ain’t happy?

He ain’t feeling glad.

I bought all 7 of the tracks and to me the 3 Gorillaz and White Rabbit were the most boring chart wise. I love White Rabbit as a song though. I found the Joplin song to be the most fun to play on guitar/bass/drums, even though I don’t like listening to it. Funny how that works.

Happy I didn’t buy them! This shows once again the importance of being able to see the videos people put up on Youtube.

Really, what DOES please you, Midnight Son? I get the idea rather than interesting and varied patterns, you just want a lot of notes flying by really fast.

Boston, Steely Dan, Iron Maiden, Allman Brothers, Stevie Ray, Chilly Peppers, Weezer!, Roy Orbison, etc etc etc… First of all, I got to like the MUSIC. The chart is secondary. I’m not a Scorehero freak, man!

Gorillaz sounded really boring to me.

Man, if the chart is secondary, I don’t know how Gorillaz doesn’t grab you immediately. Layered, varied songs with unique tones and feel do it for me, anyway. I can see people skipping Re-Hash who don’t know Gorillaz well, but not getting Feel Good Inc is a crime.

Meh…

Courtesy of Shacknews, the new Rock Band Metal Track Pack that’s coming out in stores soon:

The following six tracks will initially be available only in the Metal Track Pack “for a limited time,” before being released as regular Rock Band downloadable content.

* Blue Oyster Cult - Transmaniacon MC
* Hawkwind - Master Of The Universe
* I Mother Earth - Levitate
* Motorhead - Killed by Death
* Nazareth - Hair of the Dog
* Rage Against The Machine - Bulls On Parade

The remaining fourteen tracks have already been released on their own as DLC.

* All That Remains Two Weeks
* At the Gates - Blinded By Fear
* Black Tide - ShockWave
* Bullet For My Valentine - Waking the Demon
* Children of Bodom - Are You Dead Yet
* Evile - Thrasher
* Godsmack - I Stand Alone
* The Haunted - D.O.A.
* In This Moment - Forever
* Judas Priest - Screaming for Vengeance
* Lacuna Coil - Closer
* Lamb of God - Laid to Rest
* Queens of the Stone Age - 3's & 7's
* Yngwie Malmsteen - Red Devil

Seems like a good deal for me. I only own the Judas Priest song from that list of older DLC. The big question is whether I’ll like these songs, since I’m not a big fan of metal. But I like the metal songs that Rock Band has introduced me to over the years, especially in Rock Band 2.

Some good stuff mixed in with the Cookiiiieeeeeeeeessssssssssssss!!!

Now you’re messing with… a son of a bitch!

Probably censored. Now you’re messing with a son of a silence.

they can’t mute that. It’s a key part of the chorus … er, arguably the WHOLE SONG. Not exactly lyrics heavy on that one.

Plus “bitch” in that context doesn’t seem too offensive, at least to me.

Right, I mean why even have that song without “bitch” in it?

Forever is a great song, and fun to play except that I always fail out at 96% on guitar when it goes all zig-zaggy.

* Motorhead - Killed by Death

Woo!

I’ll be waiting for the DLC. I own all but three of the previously-released tracks already.
