No news is not necessarily bad news. They’ve announced a few things but there are still the weekly releases, any one of which could be the reward you crave.

‘All the Small Things’ Blink182 is on Rock Band? I’ve never seen it. Is that chart correct; it doesn’t show Nirvana ‘Heart Shaped Box’ for Rock Band nor Smells Like Teen Spirit for GH5(even though the article says it).

Ooooh - the Coulton song is good, though I’m baffled why more of his heavier stuff isn’t showing up. That’s not even the track that won the poll on his site. He seems to be pretty amped on getting stuff in through the Rock Band studio for people what totally do music, though, so hopefully we’ll see more of that. They’ve also included one of my favorite MC Frontalot tracks and all the mainstream stuff is junk I would buy.

Screw it. I guess I’m going to allocate $25 to buying Rock Band tracks, BUT NO MORE. You hear me, Harmonix. That’s all you get. I will exercise self-control. Until the Queen pack drops.

You can listen to any of his music at his website/blog/thing. This one is sort of internet famous - it’s a song where your jackass workmate down the hall is a zombie and is trying to talk his way into the mall you have barricaded yourself inside of. Nerds apparently love this shit, which would explain why I like it so much. This would also be the joke if you ever see anybody wearing zombie makeup and a nametag that says “Bob.”

I wonder about these sort of tracks released during PAX time every year. I understand that they’re fun to listen to as part of nerd culture, but are they actually worth playing in the game? I know my “band mates” (brother, his girlfriend, my girlfriend) would probably not be very into those sorts of tracks.

Kryptonite is a GH5 track as well, isn’t it? I think that was on of the 12 or so I really wanted to play on GH5, but open season seems to be continuing. Hopefully Only Happy When It Rains shows up soon.
