Flight of the Conchord songs?
I’ll bet they’ll use Demon Woman. Perfect for a band song.
Ohgodpleasebetruepleasebetruepleasebetrue.
What three songs, though? My picks would be:
Business Time
Ladies of the World
Most Beautiful Girl in the Room
Bowie, Fashion is Danger, and Inner City Pressure would also be fun.

It will probably coincide with their next album release on the end of October so it’ll probably have some newer songs.

Any impressions of the new Pearl Jam album yet?
I’m waiting on a mythical patch before I spend any more money.

Oh, if you want to break your finger habits in the move from medium to hard, try playing “Hey, Bulldog”… or whatever it’s called. On hard guitar you can play most of the song with the same two fingers. Try it.
…er, this was meant to be on the Beatles thread…

Wasn’t “Smells Like Teen Spirit” supposed to be DLC like early this year? Maybe I just didn’t see it in the list, but if I’m right, what happened?
I’m a huge Pearl Jam fan so I bought the Target version of Backspacer with the RB DLC Code. For the most part the guitar charts are much easier than Ten, but still fun to play. As for the drums, “Going to See My Friend” and 'Got Some" are the highlights. Both are varied and very fun to play. The drum chart for “Just Breath” is basically one long high hat roll, avoid this song on drums unless you need practice with rolls. The last song on the album, “The End” is the only DLC that I am aware of without a drum part.
I wish I could sing because I think the vocals would be the highlight of the album.

I’m not a fan of brand new albums releasing as DLC. I have no idea if I like the songs on it so I’ll never buy those songs, at least not during the week they come out.

No offense to Pearl Jam fans, but I was more excited about Chinese Democracy than Backspacer, which is to say not at all.
Anyway, looking forward to this week’s new DLC to get that “crappy new album” taste out of my mouth. The Harmonix guys said the next 4 weeks are some of the best ever, and we already know it includes the Queen 10 pack due to the previous leak.

Yeah, I have a hard time getting excited about songs I’ve never heard even when I like the band.
However, I don’t care that much because I’m still rocking out to Kryptonite, Rebel Yell, Miss Murder and the rest of the songs from when I was on vacation. I’m actually kind of glad I got a week off from stuff I want.
RE: Saw videos of some of the Heavy Metal pack songs. Hair of the Dog is a re-record and sucks ass.

Don’t worry, we’re not offended at all.

Meh, it’s not that bad. Still by the original band, so no worse than the Styx re-records, etc. The Motorhead is also a re-record.

Except the Styx re-recordings were missing two founding members, one estranged (Dennis DeYoung) and one deceased (John Panozzo). So it’s not exactly the original band. But it is the band in its present form.

That’s great. They will be available individually, right?
Backspacer is better on bass than I expected. I’m looking forward to trying out the other instruments. It’s definitely a niche title, though, as there are few things as polarizing as post-Vitalogy Pearl Jam.

- Check My Brain (2009)
- No Excuses (1996)
- Rooster (1993)
- Would? (1992)
The new album songs aren’t bad, surprisingly. At least they sound believably AIC-ish.
So if there’s another AIC pack coming, I can assume more new album tracks (boo) and some more classics like perhaps “Them Bones”?
That actually does not surprise me much – most people focus on Gossard and McCready’s guitar skills and their ‘grunge’ sound but I’ve always been impressed by Pearl Jam’s rhythm section more than anything else. I think I’ve mentioned before (probably in this very thread) that Vs. is my favorite Pearl Jam album for this very reason. That album’s got a groove, man.
