You meant to say “I Stay Away” right.

Your standards are weak! It sounds like shit! SHIT!

The Styx Rerecords are fricken awesome.

Yeah!

I have heard that the star patch came out today. Can anyone confirm?

Well something came out today, though I’m not sure it’s a full implementation of the patch. Quickplay now shows a sort option called “Stars.” All my tracks are currently shown as “Unplayed.” But after playing “Debaser,” it’s still showing as unplayed, and there’s no indication of my star ranking.

Apparently you have to beat your previous high score in order for the star score to register. I’m guessing the old score tracking method did not record what difficulty your current score was achieved on. So it has no way of assigning a star rating for your current scores.

Cool! An excuse to play through the whole game again!

Ah, that makes sense. I was just fumbling my way through just to see if it worked, not concentrating on beating my current score.

Uh gee, can you at least SEE what your previous score was?

OK, I downloaded the patch. There’s a new sorting option by Stars. Only problem is that ALL SONGS are listed as “Unplayed” and evidently you have to beat your old score for it to even show up. Oh sure… just DELETE your save with everything you’ve accomplished since RB2 came out!

We waited a year for this shit?

They’re looking into it. Oy!

Also, they’ve announced the DLC for next week, but not the official patch news/details. “Communicate.” Look it up.

Still don’t actually see any stars in quickplay. They should have done it like in TB:RB, where there’s stars, difficulty you played on, and score. This is just lame.

I recently interviewed two of the RB devs, and they said this was specifically to irritate you, and that they could easily do it the Beatles game, but they just didn’t want to. I’ll have the full thing up on my blog later.

The important thing is to come back here and post every time a thought about RB goes through your head, though.

“Crazy.” Look it up!

If it’s not going to show my old scores, I’d rather it just delete them (without deleting all my other data). I haven’t FC’d a lot of songs, but there are a few, and I probably can’t beat those scores without squeezing.

And I don’t remember which songs those were.

Good try!

If you know of a way to reset your song scores without wiping out the entire save file, you must let us know!

Question: why does Harmonix hate Midnight Son so much?

Letting a straight line like that go by had better count as a mitzvah.

Not sure if this is the right thread to ask about this but here goes. I was reading the patch notes and it said that they altered how HO/POs work to be more in line with The Beatles: Rockband. My copy is still in transit so what does that mean for how they work now?

I would swear the timing windows for ALL notes are slightly more relaxed post-patch. But maybe it’s just the hammer-on chord stuff.

I remember thinking (and I mentioned in the TB:RB thread) that the timing in that game was noticeably more lenient than RB2. Mind you, I am not talking about GH3 slop-fest level of timing, but it felt like the window had been increased maybe 10-20%.

I honestly don’t play expert well enough (that is, to be able to consistently 5 star all songs) to know for sure, but I’ve Got a Feeling.
