I still keep it around to lend it to friends. First to hook them on Rock Band, and then later to lend it to them so that they can export songs to RB2. Believe it or not, it’s almost impossible to find RB1 in a lot of rental places now. Almost no rental store carries it anymore.

I find it’s the same as the Guitar Hero games. I occasionally get the urge to play Enter Sandman or Take It Off or Cliffs of Dover, but not enough to actually get the other disc off the shelf and stick it in. I’ll be playing RB and think to myself “Man, I haven’t played Lay Down in ages”–and then I play some AC/DC and Boston and whatever else strikes my fancy and all of a sudden it’s time for bed.

I should really get my RB1 disc and drums back from my brother. I had had the same thought, but it didn’t work at all.

I actually like that Testament song. They went through several years (decade or more?) of suck. But the new stuff is quite good, IMO.

Saw the charts for the Kansas songs today, and they’re now must-buys for me. Part of the reason why is that the guitar parts actually chart the violins for sections in both songs and make some kick-ass solos out of it.

At last, we have Violin Hero.
