Since the Stone Temple Pilots probably aren’t doing much nowadays, they should get crackin’ on RBN. I’m trippin’ on a hole in their Rock Band playlist.
I thought I just heard they’re touring again, or something.
I saw them in concert here in Kansas City in summer of 08. I initially scoffed. Stone Temple Pilots? They’re still around?!? But they were more than just the highlight of the night (there were a lot of famous bands playing at that festival, which STP was headlining). They were amazing.
I will praise the glory that is “Sin Wagon” until the day I die. Definitely one of the most fun songs to play on guitar. Is it even possible to play the banjo solos without a grin on your face? Bass is pretty fun too, and becomes downright brilliant if you turn the controller on its end and play it like an upright bass.

True – the Pet Shop Boys “It’s a Sin” is far less fun on guitar and bass.

Wait, when did It’s A Sin hit? I love that song, but I wish they’d used the Gamma Ray cover.
More Alice in Chains next week. But it’s old stuff!
• Alice In Chains – “Grind”
• Alice In Chains – “Heaven Beside You”
• Alice In Chains – “Last of My Kind”
• Alice In Chains – “We Die Young”
• Alice In Chains – “Your Decision”
Not old enough. We Die Young it is.
I’m going to request Bands That Aren’t in Rock Band Yet.
Maybe they’ll listen.
I doubt it, though.
Next week: More Foo, Weezer and Blink!
I’m OK with them repeating bands.
As long as they are bands I like.
Otherwise it sucks.

More Alice in Chains? That’s a win for me!
Lately, I really find myself wanting some Misfits (some Danzig, some Graves). Die Die My Darling, Hybrid Moments, Last Caress, Dig Up Her Bones, Dust to Dust, Descending Angel…
Granted, the odds of somehow making a T rated Last Caress are as good as them making a T rated Angelfuck. But Die Die, Hybrid Moments, and Descending Angel would make a hell of a triple pack.
Next week: 6 more live Tom Petty tracks!! And some other stuff.
Ack!
Where’s my God damn Ministry?
And more Faith no More.
And I’d still play the fuck out of Rock Band Pink Floyd.
I wouldn’t mind the repeats of some of these bands if they were just different bands. More Radiohead, sure. More (old) muse, yes please.
I exhausted my selection of tom petty and alice in chains with the first pack.

How about more Journey, the top selling song of 2009? Or more REM, non-shitty Evanescence and Coheed and Cambria. It’s just as well I’m on a RB hiatus, there haven’t been any songs I’ve wanted to buy in weeks. Although that may be a cause rather than a coincidence.
The entire 4-part Czar song from Crack the Skye
God has the RB DLC just been garbage for the past few moons, or what
Toooooooooooooooooooooooooooooootally psyched about these two. These are from one of my favorite albums of last year. Also featured in a few trailers and a car commercial, too.
Not sure how they’ll play, since they’re synth heavy, but the jangly guitars could be good. Fun as hell to sing.
Aside from Alice in Chains and a hand full of Lego songs, I’d agree with that. (A few of the newer Foo Fighters and Nirvana songs were -okay- too.)
