Yeah, I got a patch on the weekend. Weird. I may have to send an email to Harmonix.

Anyone who doesn’t get Just Dance and Bad Romance hates fun. I said it.

They’re actually all pretty fun to play, Bad Romance just became one of my favorite guitar tracks, though. Monster is good on guitar, not so much on bass, but the other three are solid on bass too, and Bad Romance slams eighth notes at the base, so it gets tricky.

l have to get Bad Romance and Poker Face because The Wife Said So.

So I’m fucked. Or not fucked if I don’t get them. You know whut ah mean.

Get her Cartman’s version without telling her, I DARE YOU.

(Mind you, Cartman’s Pokerface is literally the funnest thing to play ever.)

As for RBN, I just go on the music section of the Rock Band website and sort by date. Noticed they sneakily put Business Time by the Conchords on there today. <Jermaine>Awwwwww yeah.</Jermaine>

I know what you’re trying to say, girl…

I think we all know what Midnight Son must play right after Pokerface with his wife for guaranteed success… (And he has to be in just his socks at the time.)

He also needs to give her one of these.

Mean Woman Blues?
You Give Love a Bad Name?
Fat Bottomed Girls?

Figured it out!

Get Up (I Feel Like Being a) Sex Machine

Aaaaaand RBN is not available in my country, so no Clutch and other goodies for me. Goddamnit Microsoft, let me spend my money!

At least you have healthcare…

From the socks comment I believe the intended result is to drop trou and squeeze out a Cleveland steamer on your chest.

Edit: Ahh, I didn’t know the lyrics to “Business Time”. There we go then. Still, “Rock Your Socks” makes a pretty straightforward request.

Stay classy now!

So next week’s “official” DLC is as follows:

• X – “Blue Spark” +
• X – “The Hungry Wolf”
• X – “I Must Not Think Bad Thoughts”
• X – “Los Angeles”
• Little Fish – “Am I Crazy” +
• Little Fish – “Bang Bang” *
• Little Fish – “Darling Dear” *
• Ace Frehley – “Outer Space”
• Carrie Underwood – “All-American Girl” +
• OneRepublic – “Stop & Stare” +

As always, “+” means a family-friendly song. “*” means it’s $.99. “Am I Crazy” is also a free track, which is nice.

And in RBN news, the new songs from the last few days:

The Apples in Stereo - “Energy”
The Bronx - “Past Lives”
Joe Sibol - “Hot Sexy Girls”
Circus Circus - “First We Feast, Then We Felony”
Band of Skulls - “I Know What I Am”
The Stills - “Being Here”
Seether - “Remedy”
Stewart - “Dance With Me”
Demon Hunter - “Collapsing”
MxPx - “One Step Further”
Drowning Pool - “Bodies”
All That Remains - “Days Without”

Wait, what?

I could have sworn Los Angeles was already in RB2.

Wait…Jesus, am I thinking of GH II:80s?

Yep. Another song makes the jump, making it 5 songs from that game now in Rock Band. Six, if you count “Ballroom Blitz,” but GH:80s had the cover by Krokus, not the original.

Fucking FINALLY! The only thing that tempted me to buy GH: 80s was that it had Los Angeles. I’ve been waiting for an appearance in RB ever since. Now If we can only get a few others like Beyond and Back, We’re Desperate, Johny Hit and Run Pauline, maybe the Soul Kitchen cover.

I’d also kill for White Girl, though I think it would only be fun for the vocalists.

Oh and these are songs that scream out for multiple vocal lines, so hopefully they can be reworked for RB3 or whatever.

I suspect they (and anything else released from now) probably already are.

Backwards compatibility for multithread vocal harmonies would make me love Harmonix even more unapologetically than I do now, even for a surcharge per track.

Hendrix!

The shark has been unjumped!

The unjumping happened with Bad Romance, sir.

But this is still spectacular and I do not detract from the “Woo!” I feel.
