If you want to try and overlay the difficulty spectrums of the two modes, I would guess that Pro Easy would rank way easier than Non-Pro Expert. That video of the White Stripes song on Pro Easy had like 5 music notes play for one strum of a single string.
I don’t believe that the Squire controller will be precise enough to regularly 100% songs. As such, there will always be life for the 5-button.

I expect the Mustang controller will, though, since it has ~100 discrete buttons. And that’ll be a lot more accessible, both in terms of price and availability.
We don’t know if the Mustang controller will actually play as well as it’s supposed to at high skill levels. If, for whatever reason, it doesn’t feel good to competitive players, I don’t see why they would adapt it over something they already know and love. It will be interesting to see how the game’s community splits into factions.
So, um, how do the Miley tracks play?
No idea how Miley plays, but I listened to the clips and that is some godawful music. How many layers of production effects are on these things? None of it sounded even remotely like music made by instruments, and people.
She’s no Lady Gaga!
(Also, just to rag on her some more, she sure is young to have the voice of a chainsmoker. Just sayin’)

It’s not how old you are, it’s how many cigarettes you’ve smoked. She probably started when she was four.
I especially liked her obviously corporate sponsored “rebellion” track. Can’t be Tamed or some such crap. She is obviously legit now! I mean c’mon, she’s showing her midriff, clearly the mark that she is all grown up and needs to be taken seriously as an artist.
I always wonder if these child stars rebellious phases are focused grouped to coincide with the target audience as it ages.
So i am catching up on DLC after not shopping for a while and I am left wishing there was a way to preview and buy songs on the web and have them queue for download. Would also love to publish my collection so I could have other people recommend me songs! I have discovered songs I adore on my own (flobots, fratellis) but don’t usually spend hours previewing every single song I don’t know - especially if I haven’t checked DLC for a while. Oh well. Probably cheaper this way!
Well, there’s always youtube and the web version of the Live marketplace.
RBN lets you download a 30 second demo of each song. It’s sad that official DLC still doesn’t offer this…
Silly me, things must have changed in the last few months. You can click through and preview songs --> http://www.rockband.com/songs
Preview means listen. It doesn’t mean you can play them yourself.
Oh, that’s all I wanted to do to see, Midnight, so I could check if I recognised the song and if I liked it.
Unfortunately about 70% of songs can’t be sampled in little old NZ. YouTube to the rescue! Ahh, the system also lets one buy the songs and add them to your download queue. It’s a few clicks too many but it works, choice!
Now if only we could compare song lists and if only the RockBand site was able to tell you what songs you already owned (though I can understand why this isn’t the case).
What is really confusing is that I seem to have lots of DLC songs which I did not purchase. I know I didn’t because I don’t really fancy emo and hard, hard metal. Hmm. Have they been handing out free songs? Also I’m quite disappointed that I seem to have missed the window on a Flight of the Conchords track and that some of the RBN material isn’t available in my area…

None of it is available here in Norway. For the life of me i can’t understand why. I really, really want the Clutch tracks (amongst many other things) and Microsoft apparently does not want my money.
Oh my god, they finally really did it. You maniacs! You blew it up! God damn you all to hell!

You guys and everyone else can turn their noses up at this, but I’m definitely getting “Never Again”.
