Next week: Milli Vanilli.

Girl, you know it’s true!

Wonder if it would repeat on you.

So singing is optional. Awesome.

Yeah, I’m stuck in that long solo around 2M in GG&HT on Expert Guitar myself. Been stuck there for like 3 months. I keep slowly picking away at it. I’m sad that RB doesn’t have any 5-star song achievements, so in theory the only thing I can really do to make progress other than pick away at GG&HT for the upteenth zillion time is play a different instrument. Which probably doesn’t help my GG&HT progress.

On the upside, my awesome wife got me one of those professional drum pedals rigged for Rock Band, and it makes the double-tap and other rapid drum moves SO much more enjoyable. Still doesn’t help me do the foot pedal separate from the notes which is what is primarily blocking me, but hey…

You can’t make progress unless you get an achievement for it?

Got a link for these? I had considered making my own, but have been too lazy.

I’ve only been playing GG&HT a couple times a week, mostly I’ve been trying to gold-star easy songs and generally jacking up my career score.

I tried practicing solo 2M last night, and it is not going to be completed over here any time soon. I can do it at 60% speed any higher and my fingers can’t keep up. I’m thinking switching to the stratocaster for that song might help with the solo buttons.

If you can get through the few prior sections without having to activate Overdrive, it’s possible to power through 2M using a combination of star power and random button mashing – that’s how I beat GG&HT the first few times.

Correct, I cannot make progress towards 1000/1000 without doing the things that get me more achievements. I can just have fun playing the songs, of course. But fun + progress = more fun to me.

Yeah, I think saving up star power and flailing is the right approach for me to try and cheese through 2M… I can do the rest of the song OK, so that at least gives me more to focus on.

For drum mods, I ordered from here:

Got both their drum pedal plus the “Twin Rocker” for dual pedal work, but after trying dual pedal a bit I think just the upgrade in tap speed from the Omega pedal itself was what I needed – retraining my brain for the dual pedals was a bit much.

I also highly recommend drum reinforcement kits for the “hanging” side drums…

Yes. I got throgh Green Grass and High Tides with little trouble, but I just can’t get through Flirtin’ With Disaster no matter how many times I play it. It doesn’t help much that I don’t like the actual song, but I’ve tried it over and over and I just can’t do it. I’m not even sure why, either, because GGaHT seems to be a much harder song and Enter Sandman was just brutal, but I just can’t wrap my head around those solos in Flirtin’.

I had to look up what Promised Land by Vesuvius was, and apparently it’s from this upcoming movie:

How long did it take to arrive from the time you ordered? I’ve been waiting on a Rock Pedal for over a month, and they’re still out of stock.

Motley Crue? Papa Roach? Trapt? Consider that $3 I don’t need to spend.

I’d buy something like Kickstart My Heart or Girls Girls Girls, or Shout at the Devil again, but I’m not buying another song off their new album.

Yeah, I just gagged a little too.

About a month? They arrived on the 26th of June, and were ordered sometime in late May.

Finally, more Crue and…it’s not from Dr. Feelgood. What the fuck? Give me Kickstart My Heart already, damnit!
