No, I just did that mod the other day, and it’s fucking hard and time consuming and expensive. It seems like if he were going to do it, he would be using his full kit (hi-hat and cymbals) to play the songs like you would in reality instead of playing them on just a 4 pad kit.
edit: I guess I take that back. If you’re playing for scores, I’m sure it’s easier on the 4 pads.

Has anyone else been watching this for the last solid hour and wondering why they are doing so? I made an agreement with myself to stop after he FC’s Interstate Love Song.
Does it count if you’ve got him squished down in a little window while you’re doing something else in another window?

I’ve been watching it on and off all day even though it’s like watching a friggin machine. It is kind of fun to see him pull off these crazy fills for FCs in real time.
Makes me wish I had a sweet drum set like that. Must be nice to not miss notes arbitrarily because my drums don’t register them.

That’s Phreak, a longtime moderator at ScoreHero and also the guy who heads up CustomHero (a side project for Guitar Hero customs). I got to meet him last year at a Neversoft thing, cool kid. And he’s also obviously kickass at drums; he was ranked in the top 10 on the boards last time I looked.
FC = Full Combo, which is another way of saying you got a perfect 100% on a song without breaking your streak (it’s possible to get 100% but still break streak by strumming extra where there isn’t a note).
Man, he’s going to be hurting when he gets to the last 20 songs. It’s already 5AM where he is (eastern Canada, I believe); even if he does 15 songs an hour, it’ll be 9AM by the time he gets to Won’t Get Fooled Again.
And he’s been sitting on a wooden chair! Why doesn’t this man have a drum throne?

He’s not using it, but I’m pretty sure I saw one when he was waving the camera around his room. He’s got a custom kit, so I’m gonna go out on a limb and say that he’s not using a drum throne for a reason other than money.

I went to bed right after he did “The Hellion/Electric Eye” by Judas Priest. And I see I woke up just in time for Highway Star. I can’t believe he’s still going strong. He doesn’t even seem that much sleepier than when I went to bed around 2am Central time. Now it’s a little over 6 hours later, and he’s got 15 songs to go. Looks like I woke up in time for the best part. :)
Holy shit 99% on Screaming for Vengeance after over 25 hours of playing straight. That song is exhausting!

Came close to failing at the start of Young Man Blues, but managed to pick it up again to 94%. Jaysus.
