he’s down to the final 5 now: Run to the Hills, Blackened, Perfect Drug, Blinded by Fear and Won’t Get Fooled Again.

He’s 5-starred every song so far. Daaaaaaamn.

I totally thought he’d fail Young Man Blues. I should have had more faith. His viewership has tripled in the last 15 minutes. I guess a lot of people are tuning in for the ending.

Has he just said that one of his sticks has broken?

Kotaku posted a link to the UStream on their front page, so it’s getting hammered now.

In their usual style, Kotaku showed that they can’t post ANYTHING without getting details wrong, saying it’s 225 songs instead of 235, and that there were only 2 songs left when he still had at least 5 to go.

I know these seem like minor details, but I mean – the number 235 is posted right on the Ustream page and the drumhell page, and if you’ve been following this, you know he had more than 2 songs left. When you post those wrong numbers, where do they come from? You’ve got to be a special brand of retard to write news and screw that up, but it seems like that’s the case with everything I read there.

It’s now at the top of the Most Viewed list on the ustream home page, over doubling the second place one in viewers.

And he’s done it…

I’m impressed.

And he’s wrapping it up with an encore: Still Alive. ROFL.

Wow. So long did he play? Did he stop to eat or pee?

That’s a good question. When I was watching him last night, he was drinking some juice between every song, and then later he ate a plum between songs.

Well, he didn’t have a catheter hooked up, so I assume that during short breaks where he walked off camera he was probably relieving himself.

Sick, but us there a replay available or is ustream live only?

He played over 26 1/2 straight hours, from 9AM Saturday to 11:30AM Sunday (not counting the encore). He took a few bio and food breaks, but very few and very short – he pretty much plowed through all 235 songs.

I don’t know if the whole 26 hour thing could be replayed, but they were saving shorter videos along the way, which should be part of the broadcast page.

Did he end up five starring everything?

Yep. In fact, on the final songs, he 5-starred them all with room to spare. Just crazy.

Tom chats with the guy.

Great interview. Everything I was curious about was answered in that interview.

Yeah, very nice interview. You covered probably everything there is to know.

Nice interview, one note though:

It’s MIDI-out and MIDI-decoder, not “mini-out” and “mini-decoder”. The actual component is an MSA-P, but MIDI-decoder is a reasonable description for it.

Really excellent interview.

I found the interview interesting, and I don’t even care about Rock Band. In fact, I’m not actually sure why I clicked on this thread.
