Woot, finnaly the game has started to made sense. Some dude has joined me, and we has ben doing one mission after another. The ones of STAG are amazing. :D
Has anyone heard anything regarding the release date of the January DLC ?
Genkibowl VII (Scheduled to be available January 2012): The Wide World of Genki takes over Steelport for a sporting tradition totally and utterly unlike any other.
Has anyone come across a similar problem to this:
On the first city based mission, where you go to the armoury, and deal with the onrushing troops… it cuts to the scene where the helicopters arrive and then I am supposed to do something with the UAV drones. However, once it cuts back to me, I am in the armoury but all the internal assets have disappeared. There is a marker 4m away that I have to get to, but my dude won’t move at all. I have tried this twice now with the same result. Any ideas? Thanks.
Teaser for the DLC here:

Dammit Kosc I tried clicking on your link 4 times…
Just finished it. Is it just me, or was it alot easier than SR2? I barely had to replay any missions. Seems to me that the cars provided at the beginning of each mission were pretty much indestructable (my #1 cause of death in SR2) and once you’ve fully upgraded the starting pistol (+ dual wield), you don’t really need any other weapon.
Not really complaining though. It was a lot less fustrating, so a bit less rewarding. Good game, wish there was more of it.
SR3 was way easier^H^H^H^H^H^H^H more accessible than SR2. SR2 wasn’t afraid to toss you a doozy of a mission every know and then; other than the more-advanced Genkis (which cheated with unlimited Hunter spawns), I think I blazed through 95% of the missions on the first run.
SR3 was the first game I’ve played in the series. Is it worth it for me to go back and do the others?

Even though I haven’t finished SR3 yet, I can definitely say that SR2 was great and really worth checking out. If you finish that and still want more you could give SR1 a whirl, though that engine is getting a bit dated these days.
CheapyD (of CAG) donated $1725.00 in a charity auction to get into the game and here is the result: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=mK-EtVOQLT4

Free DLC for everyone.
Tried the game yesterday, but the performance with my ati 4890 is very underwhelming. :(

Runs great on XP, E6850 Dual Core, GTX 460, 3GB of RAM.
I have used a FOV mod, since I think the game is pretty crazily zoomed in too much, and the lack of in-game camera options is a bummer. It’s a simple text file to the root SR3 directory, found here:

I’m also playing on Hard difficulty, and it’s a pretty tough game. Anyone else play on this difficulty have any good suggestions on what to Upgrade first? After blowing $4,000 right away on decking out a Lamborghini, I probably should be mindful of the fact that Hard is actually Hard.
Make a beeline for explosive pistol rounds.

I’ve heard about those and it feels to me that that’s corny. I bought the pistols that have flashlights on them simply because they look cooler, and I believe the final upgrade is armor piercing, so I’m cool with that.
I got Dual Wield Pistols so far, and Extra Health. I think I’ll save up for the second level of Bullet Damage Resistance, and I gotta grab Sprint.
Of course, I also just spent like $3,000 decking out a fucking golf cart with Underglow and Torque.
Pogo, you are a crazy person. There’s nothing corny about unloading your explosive pistols into a street full of thugs as they ragdoll around the pavement on fire. Unless, by corny, you mean holy-shit-awesome.
