What settings, out of curiosity? I’m running the exact same CPU, have a gig more RAM, and a GTS 250 and it runs “Ok” on 1920X1080 kinda mix of medium and low settings.

Probably should upgrade my video card one of these days.

Exactly.

I prefer the explosive SMGs myself though.

I finished this on PC last night and it was magnificent. What a game. I put about 15hrs in when it came out, then got distracted by Skyrim and SWTOR, and came back to it last week to burn it to the finish line. I enjoyed every single second of it. It is a FAR better experience than Saint’s Row 2 on the PC, and a much better game to boot. I was crying with laughter at some of it (Zimos).

Completely incapacitating anyone due to setting them on fire with just some pistol shots? No thanks.

Oh, huge difference because I’m on 1280x1024

You must become one with the insanity.

Embrace the over-the-top, like some kind of ludicrous Zen.

I probably will, once I realize armor piercing bullets maybe do jack shit on Hardcore.

Right now I depend on headshots. I like the “desert rifle” burst gun, it feels accurate, but probably not effective until full upgrades.

I’m with everyone else, get the exploding pistols. They really are some sort of ultra-violent zen. Attempting to juggle 3 dudes in the air at the same time is it’s own sort of fun.
And get a shark gun.
And for god sakes play co-op!

I’ve decided that Oleg’s ride needs to be a bit more flashy:

And a shot of my Assassinista:

Does anyone have any tips for the two Hard levels of Snatch? I found the upper levels massively frustrating roadblocks in the previous games and it’s no different here. Once I get 4 hookers collected, the attention from the gang just gets insane. Trying to wait for ladies to get in the car whilst a brute and 20 gangers are attacking you is just impossible - let alone safely returning to the drop off. Does anybody have any miracle tips or something? (I do have the gang attention reduction bonuses to level 3, IIRC)

Annoying, the two Hard missions for Snatch are the only activities I have left to do. I will abandon them though, if it continues to be no fun what so ever.

Make sure you don’t do it co-op. It adds enemies to the sequence and makes it harder.

Yeah, the snatch missions are pretty much the only ones that gave me any trouble at all. Still nothing compared to the snatch missions in SR2 though.

From what I can remember, once you recruit a group of hookers, you don’t really need to wait for all of them to get into the car (just one is enough.) Afterwards, as long as you can drop off the one in your car before the “you’re leaving followers behind” message expires, you’ll get the credit for the entire group.

Additional tip for Snatch and Trafficking: I always brought a Bulldog (with turret) to the party instead of the default car you are given. It is VERY durable and can really help when you’re being spammed with enemies.

Fuck, I love the challenge this game offers and it almost makes me want to play through it again but yeah those Snatch missions were motherfuckers. I passed it by lowering the general difficulty setting just for that mission and then putting it back on hard. I don’t think there’s any achievement penalty or anything like that for doing so.

Hmmm, some interesting suggestions. I’ll have to try them at the weekend. I think the next time I play some SR3 I’ll do a couple of story missions.

I like the sound of legging it with just one lady though - I could totally make it back without getting Bruted.

Does a notoriety wipe work? Also, try buying the notoriety decay upgrade.

And definitely take a Bulldog. Gotta love that thing.

Wipes don’t work (not available in your phone book), but the decay upgrades definitely apply and do help.

Yeah, got all the notoriety decay upgrades I can get (3, I think).

The second Season Pass DLC, Gangstas in Space came out today. I found it to be much better than Genkibowl but way too short – the time between my last save and the post-DLC save was exactly an hour. They’ve also included some achievements that are mission specific which is a terrible idea when the game doesn’t let you replay missions by default. The suggestion given after I beat all three missions was to use an old save if I wanted to replay. Really? Volition added that infobox so they know it’s an issue and telling me to load an old save that I could have easily saved over during the DLC is a slap in the face.

You’ll be able to replay

This is a 50% Steam sale if anyone is waiting…
