That’s it lady. You are on a one-week QUOTE WATCH. No more deleting for you.

Satire of course, but not very deeply biting. Kittenlike, really. Good satire leaves scars.

It’s virtually impossible to satirize the radical right. They are already a self-parody.

It takes a minute to sink in because it’s not completely implausible for me to believe Palin might attempt to blame some aspect of the volcano problems on Obama, or at least to link him or his policies to it in some way.

Yeah, that’s true. I didn’t read the article but based on the descriptions in this thread I was completely willing to believe that Palin was blaming Obama for the volcano. It seemed perfectly in line with the other shit she’s said.

Poe’s Law, originally applied to creationists, expanded to include religious fundamentalism in general. It’s become clear that it can be further expanded to include Palin, tea baggers and all the rest of the conservamentalists. Unsurprising, really, given how their conflated political and religious beliefs safely cohabitate behind ramparts of ignorance and denial, shielded from the projectiles of reality.

You could also apply Okrent’s Law here. In order to appear fair, everyone is giving Sarah more and more airtime, thus providing legitimacy to her crazy rants even when they don’t actively support it.
The more airtime she gets, the worse off the political system becomes for both sides of the aisle. And this not only goes for her, but for the fringe speakers on several networks and radio shows. It’s would be easy to believe that she (or they) could blame Obama for the volcano, mostly because half of the crap being said these days is just plain ridiculous.

I think she represents Republicans quite well, a party thats got nothing anymore, just lies.
I’m just disappointed that this means there isn’t video somewhere of Sarah Palin trying to pronounce Eyjafjallajokull.

She fixed it. (Seriously, anyone can make a typo lik that.)

BTW, it’s fun to go back to the start of this thread and read a bit before anyone knew about this trainwreck. We were all so optimistic and semi-tumescent.

I want rock and roll, you betcha.
Speaking of bullshit parody articles that are useless and unworthy of being linked here, may I suggest this Palin review of Spore I wrote during the 2008 election?
Firstly, I would like to thank the video game web site Game Set Watch for giving me the opportunity to review the new video game Spore. When not encumbered by politics, I like to enjoy leisure time by doing things like hunting, snowmobiling, fishing, praying that Bristol Bear doesn’t do anything else moronic (note to me: remove this from final draft), drinking, and other Alaskan activities.
Much like I have challenged and changed political machinery—namely, the state GOP, which is more corrupt than my old hard drive (that is a geek joke)—up in Alaska, Spore challenges and changes our suppositions of what exactly games are. Your machine does not just immerse you in the traditional game experiences of hunting or racing or bowling or fishing, but fantastical experiences of imagination grounded firmly in the reality of science.
Similar to a book—no, those accusations of censorship levied at me by the suave, salacious polar bears entrenched in the Arctic political muck are not true because I am a believer in freedom—the gaming of Spore is divided into phases (Spore lingo for “chapters”) of cell, creature, tribal, civilization, and space. Those artsy-fartsy amongst us may say that this is a thinly veiled American history lesson, but this is untrue because my Toddie, an amateur space historian, says no American has set foot on another planet—something that you bet will change in a McCain administration.
I think the creators of this contest are confused. Sarah Palin fans are usually pretty pissy about people playing up the Sexy Sarah stuff. Hateful commie leftists won’t give their money to the “Tea Party Campaign.”

I can’t help but laugh reading the first post, back from 2008, and seeing how Sarah Palin really turned out. So depressing. McCain should have picked Olympia Snowe…just ignore my location.
Sarah Palin thinks that Arizona’s new immigration law is “reasonable.”
Also.
Big surprise. She, like most of the conservatives, believe that this country is only for white Christians and everyone else is a 2nd class citizen.
