And if she has a neighbor she doesn’t like, well, she can join the club.

You fail to understand. She is a good christian and a real american. This means that anyone she is annoyed with is a pervert, unworthy of consideration. See David Letterman.

And a communist!

My favorite comment:

Joe, maybe we all come VISIT you while you spy for communism. How about a PARTY at Joe’s. The rumor is Joe will host CrossDressBingo Nights and DemoFat FundRaisers for his Arab friends illegally sneaking across the borders…probably not true but Joe is CreaseMold and nothing is more annoying than CreaseMold…NOV2.
Communism: the BIG LIE.

Don’t forget, I’m now also Un-American because I don’t follow the logic of persecuting a neighbor of Sarah Palin.

What the fuck is Un-American anyway?

Anything the teabaggers disagree with.

Wouldn’t it be hilarious if to get back at this guy living next to palin, some Tea Party guy bought a house next to him? I dunno…it just seems like a lot of hullabulloo over nothing. There’s tons of reasons to buy a house and as long as this guy doesn’t do anything stalkerish, it’s just as fine as any other reason.

I dont care where this person wants to live while he is writing this book, he has every right to do it wherever he wants. However, I guarantee that if someone like Beck had moved next to Obama to write a negative book about him it would have been called the worst thing in the history of the world by most here and out on the liberal websites.

Which is better:

DemoFat

Arab friends illegally sneaking across the borders

I CAN’T DECIDE

Yeah, and? You’re stating the obvious.

I’m sure you would be right about the latter. The key here though, is that we should all be falling under the former for both cases. Someone gets a neighbor they don’t like … we don’t care.

Hey, anything that ups the odds of Beck being shot by the Secret Service is fine by me. Brett really doesn’t grasp the liberal mind.

I just re-read this story earlier today! Man, Commodore Rumfoord was stuck up.

Are you drunk? I mean, I know I am, but I’m pretty sure I’m still more lucid than you. It’s not an invasion of privacy–are the media crews stationed outside Obama’s home an invasion of privacy? And where do you get the idea that he’s harassing them? And if she wants a fair shake instead of the “gotcha” journalism of Katie Couric wouldn’t it make more sense to have someone actually reporting on which papers are delivered to her house?

Regardless of whether he has actually spied on Palin or not, it’s a dick move. It’s like wearing American flag clothing to school during Cinco de Mayo.

Exacto! It may be legal, but for us to laugh at Palin’s expense for someone acting like a dick to her reduces the level of civility in this country, even if we dislike her.

Yes, there are media crews around the Whitehouse, but he’s got a pretty damn big spread, so it’s not like he never has any privacy. That’s not the same as buying a house next door to candidate Obama’s house to spy on him. As president, he expects a certain level of scruitny. Last I checked Palin was a private citizen. This is closer to paparzzi behavior, except it’s worse because it’s literally 24-hours a day from right next door.

What sort of asshats would ever do that?

I have no sympathy at all for Palin. She does her best to stir up anger. Christ, she put up pictures of Democrats on her website with crosshairs overlaid on them. She’s awful. If a writer writing about her moving in next to her is the worst thing she has to endure, she’s darned lucky.

A private citizen who refuses to leave the public eye and gets more air time than just about any person on earth.
If she wants to be left alone she could stop standing in the middle of the street waving her arms and screaming at anyone who listens.

Canadian.

The trouble with hypothetical hypocrisy is that there’s no way to prove or disprove it. Think of a reasonable parallel situation that’s actually happened and test your hypothesis… and my guess is you’ll find that you’re absolutely wrong. This is a non-issue, and if the politics were reversed it would still be a non-issue. If he’s just living next door, he’s doing nothing more invasive than what you are presently doing to your neighbours, by living next door to them. If he sets up a telescope or a listening post or whatever, that’ll be different… but let’s wait for that to actually happen before we bring out the “worst thing in history” labels, huh?
