I see what you did there.

This is the perfect job for Palin: It’s past time to “dump” Steele, says Kevin D. Williamson in National Review, and Palin would “excel” at all the duties he’s shucked — raising tons of money, recruiting great candidates, and helping “set the right tone” for the party. And RNC chief is just a better fit for Palin than her other political job options: presidential candidate, policy analyst, or “freelance kingmaker.”
I wouldn’t mind Palin sticking around. She made the last election really enjoyable. If this is what it takes to be a successful RNC chairman, then why not Palin?

Sarah Palin would do an excellent job of being Michael Steele.

I don’t think Palin has “set the right tone for the party” at all. She has energized the base for all the wrong reasons: anti-intellectualism, groundless fearmongering, a stunning ignorance of basic facts, and an unwillingness to compromise on any issue ever, to name a few. That’s a terrible tone for the party.

It’s not necessarily bad for the Republicans; her brand of idiocy resonates, and might even swing momentum back to the Republicans. But it’s terrible for the country. Regaining momentum because you are winning the argument is a good & healthy thing. Regaining it because of Palin’s schtick is a recipe for disaster.

It’s perfect for the Republicans too because now they’ve given her something to do other than fuck up their 2012 presidential chances.

That’s been the tone for the party for the past 10 years! She’s an emblem of the Republican status quo, these days. Well, her and Bill Kristol – and I dunno who is worse!

Kristol needs to consume two gallons of fresh human blood per day to survive, Palin only one. And in a pinch she can consume wolf blood, so she’s environmentally friendly as well.

Would being chairperson of the RNC prevent her from making those big appearance fees and role on Fox News? I wonder what she wants more of, power or money? Also, ‘power’ comes with responsibility and a daily workload.

So, I think she keeps doing exactly what she is doing.

Yeah, that’s pretty much what I was thinking. Also, I need to quit posting from my phone.

She “hardens” the “resolve” of the “base”. “Through the screen”.

Starbursts.

I think this is a pretty good approximation of the tone that Palin has set.

I will always love this.

I guess the glow is fading.

‘However many you need’ is how I solve every problem. Maybe I should run.

Whatever the problem, I’m willing to send wave after wave of my own men at it.

'Let’s look at what POLITICAL HERO Ronald Reagan tried to do with - ’

‘He botched it, though, Governor.’

‘Exactly! That’s what I’m saying! So we learn from history … we won’t do what he did in that respect.’

Looking forward to what Daily Show does with this.

Also.

That is a great video. She has no answers; she just repeats what Bill says.

So can’t tell - did O’Reilly toss her a softball expecting a real (political) answer, and get the knives out when he realized that she couldn’t even answer idiot questions - or did he plan to do that all along?

Amazing. She has no idea what she’s talking about. She has a pocket full of catch phrases and just throws them out whenever she hears the trigger words. Absolutely useless. She changed her immigration policy AS SHE WAS TELLING BILL WHAT IT WAS. Fuck.

Some thoughts when viewing that video:

  1. FUCK IT, WE’LL DO IT LIVE!
  2. Scurry across for your free pass, also.
  3. If he had said, “what if we just shit all over them and THEN kick them out,” I think she would have agreed to it.
  4. I can’t wait to see what the “Momma Grizzlies” do once they can’t complain about Obama, Pelosi, and Reid. And since reducing the budget won’t include reducing the defense budget, what will all the “Momma Grizzlies” do once they have NO healthcare, NO unemployment checks, and a shitload of dropped services because tax reductions won’t pay for jack shit.
