By “place” I meant that particular quote, not P&R. But…ok.

Yeah, the Pharisees were trying to trap him, to build their case to take him out, so in essence it was another of his clever ways to “beat” them. (Worth noting that Jesus’ most scathing rebukes were aimed at the hypocritical religious leaders of his day, while he was rather loving and forgiving to the people that they abused as the worst sinners.) ;)

I’ve always contended that in a modern day setting, he would be hanging out with gays and lesbians, ministering to AIDS patients, and pointing out what a bunch of hypocrites the Republicans are.

Agreed. And also telling a lot of high profile “religious” leaders what a “brood of vipers” they are. ;)

Anyway, back to Sarah: I put her in the same category as Gingrich: no serious plans to actually go after the Presidency, but rather planning to reap the benefits of all the PR. I wish the media would quit following her bus around the country.

Yeah. That’s the thing I don’t understand. The entire time I hear about her and that bus, I just think “seriously? This is news?” Are the ratings penalties for showing something other than Sarah Palin really that severe, that nobody is willing to ignore it entirely? I mean, I’d understand if it was just a Fox News road-trip the whole time, but why do other networks feel the need to cover it?

Dunno about absolute certainty, but yeah, I think you got it right.

As to taking a shot at Palin, shooting fish in a barrel with a mini-gun would be more of a challenge.

Wonderella sets the record straight on Paul Revere.

The half-term former Alaskan governor has called it quits on her cross-country bus tour.

A spokesperson indicated that Palin was ending her family bus tour “in order to spend more time with her family.”

I look forward to upcoming her two-year presidential term.

Runaway!

Dunno why, felt compelled to post this:

Can’t even complete a bus trip! Is the family excuse plausible? Or some other reason?

Well she does have a quite a family…

“Palin never made it to her scheduled stops in the key primary states of Iowa and New Hampshire.”

Baaaa ha ha haaaa! Put a fork in her, she’s done. Good riddance.

Yeah, and not just done–she’s perma-done. Quit her term as governor halfway through, quit her campaign tour halfway through… she’s Sarah Palin the Quitter, now. Whatever political capital she may have had leftover after the last presidential election (probably not much), it’s all gone. The GOP won’t nominate her with a thirty foot pole.

Never underestimate the stupidity of the “conservative” Tea Party voters.

Great news! Maybe she’s moving on from her politics phase. So how long until she does a spread in Maxim? I mean, not that I’m eagerly awaiting it or anything, but, you know, if a guy was wondering. How long would he have to wait?

It doesn’t matter what they think. The GOP leadership is not going to support her. She’s a poison pill, and they know it. If she wants to run, she’ll have to do it as a third-party candidate.

If the voters vote her in, she’d be the candidate, no? The voters won’t vote her in though, so it’s a moot point. There’s enough intelligence in the GOP to avoid that.
