Apparently, Palin’s aides don’t know how publicity works because their condemnation just makes more people think there may be some something great to watch in the movie.

True. Now I want to see it.

Or they know exactly how publicity works. This can only help her at this point.

Enh. Hard to say. I read the book on which the movie is based, and Palin does not come off well. I know the saying “any publicity is good publicity” but in this case, I think that only applies to the movie - not so much to the subjects of the story.

I just think that without this kind of thing to feed her celebrity, she’d go the way of Sam Wurzelbacher.

Who?

Oh. I SEE WHAT YOU DID THERE

Is it a good or a bad thing that I remember who that is?

Is it a good or a bad thing that Herman Cain remembers and endorses who that is?

As long as it shows Glen Rice banging Palin (Go Lakers! Ballers in more ways than one).

I’d say the odds are about the same as Fooey posting again after his far more epic thread starter:

Edit: Crap, posted in the wrong thread!

Anyone else see this odd-ball film about Sarah Palin?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sarah_Palin:_You_Betcha!

And i found this youtube entry:

So this IS where the Republican party is heading kind of thing!?! Isn’t that a bit like handing the ‘red-button’ to a bunch of in-patience at a mental ward?

I just had to put this here:

“If I was in charge,” Palin said Saturday in Indianapolis, “they would know, waterboarding is how we baptize terrorists.”

A deft statement, really! In one sentence, she appeals to both the anti-terror paranoids and the religious!

She should be President.

She is…in her mind.

I guarantee that she didn’t invent that phrase. She cribbed it from some chain email.

I just love this quote so much.

Did you listen to the speech? It was a joke punchline to a point she was making about how the Left weakens America because they embrace our enemies instead of fighting them. The joke wasn’t funny. And I had to listened to 8 minutes of that speech to get the context of that quote.

I can’t stand her voice.

But in context it wasn’t quite as ridiculous as it reads. It was just some sophomoric, homecoming rally-like rabble rousing obviously pandering to the least common denominator of the NRA convention she was speaking at - which was true for everything else she said in that speech (up until the 8 minute mark, at least).

I think the issue is how commonplace this has become, particularly in republican politics. The LCD appears to be running the joint right now.

I think its just as common in Democrat politics, but it just isn’t covered by the news media as much. I don’t disagree that it is used a lot in Republican politics, but have you ever listened to anything Joe Biden has ever said? At least Palin isn’t in charge of anything and hasn’t stated plans to run for anything. I think we can all be grateful for that. Hopefully she is just building hype for her next book or speech giving tour or something.

So say we all. Well, except Fooey, who slunk away in shame.
