Politicians sometimes say stupid shit. That’s a fact. Both sides have dumb statements on record.

The difference is that recently, (couple decades) it’s not uncommon to hear super-ignorant or racist speech on one side of the aisle, while the other side of the aisle says stupid shit that’s just boring. It’s a lot tougher to get a good viral video or a news story out of boring and dumb. But suggesting that the negro may have been better off under slavery? GOLD! Waterboarding? RUN IT!

Oh wow. I was curious and went searching for Fooey’s last posts before he left forever. No wonder he hasn’t returned:

If she’s the Republican ideal of “extraordinary, once in a generation charisma,” this generation’s Republicans are a sorry lot.

OMG. That last quote.

WTF.

Sarah Palin soldiers on as a diminished figure in the Republican Party

Rest assured, I am playing the world’s saddest political elegy on the smallest violin I could find.

I’m waiting for her to get second billing after a puppet show.

Kukla, Fran and Palin.

If she wasn’t such a nasty toxic (and unchristian, yes you need to actually read your bible and understand the message of Jesus, it’s hard i know) vile self-serving individual, i could maybe feel sorry for her.

That’s pretty much my take on it too. As soon as I start maybe feeling a little bit sorry for her, she opens her mouth and I remember why she deserves no sympathy.

Heh. That story on the baptism of terrorist has hit the mainstream news:

‘Are conservatives deserting Sarah Palin?’:

Saw the clip on the Daily Show last night, and what struck me is how terrible her delivery was. She needs to go to an open mic night to practice.

She sounded a bit a drunk. She has that I-don’t-give-a-fuck attitude that four gin and tonics while waiting backstage before a speech gives some people.

And the religious folk are none to happy (rightly so) with her using baptism and torture. Perhaps she should have gone farther and said we should crucify terrorists. That would have been awesome.

But Jesus was a terrorist?

And John the Baptist currently works at Guantanamo.

So maybe she wasn’t wrong?

Palin’s calling for Obama’s impeachment:

The Republican firebrand wrote in a an op-ed published Tuesday in the conservative website Breitbart that “(Obama’s) unsecured border crisis is the last straw that makes the battered wife say, ‘no mas.’”

In the blistering op-ed, the former Alaska governor and 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee accuses Obama of intentionally allowing immigrants into the United States, hampering American job opportunities.

“President Obama’s rewarding of lawlessness, including his own, is the foundational problem here,” she wrote.

“It’s time to impeach; and on behalf of American workers and legal immigrants of all backgrounds, we should vehemently oppose any politician on the left or right who would hesitate in voting for articles of impeachment.”

There are so many things wrong with her stance that I’ll just let it speak for itself.

“(Obama’s) unsecured border crisis is the last straw that makes the battered wife say, ‘no mas.’”

What. The. Fuck.

Who?.

She doesn’t even comprehend that impeachment isn’t an expression of political dislike. Wow.

Lack of comprehension is pretty much a signature of hers.
