If he makes to the floor, I will be calling my R senator and I encourage everyone else to do it also, no matter how deep in the R they are.
Points to raise:
Kavanaugh obviously lied about several little things in sworn testimony, probably because he was afraid that truthful answers would make his denial of the big things seem less plausible. No matter what you believe about his truthfulness on the big question, lying under oath to the US Senate is not a trait that should earn one a seat on the Supreme Court.
There are surely many other equally conservative choices who can go through the confirmation process without lying.
Obviously not what I really want my senator to think (that will have to wait for the chance to vote him out and a D in), but points that can be made in a short phone message (without giving away my socialist leanings).

I donât mean women coming out sucks. I mean this whole process that spins wheels and goes nowhere sucks. Just tactically, these last minute accusations are going to go nowhere, and everyone is going to get their hopes up only to see them dashed.
Thatâs what i mean by social media democracy. Youâre not going to get elected representatives cancelled, not when their constituents are being fed the idea that itâs all a conspiracy against them. And not last minute accusations. Itâs just not.
Imagine if 2 days before the election Hillary Clinton were accused of sexual abuse by a rando youâve never heard of before. Is she going to get âcancelledâ or is everyone on the Dem side going to call for hearings and investigations and proper procedures?
We canât expect the GOP supporters to do less.

Where the heck are you, that itâs already tomorrow (Friday the 28th)? Itâs only just before 9PM EDT right now.
Cool. Iâll let her know that there are men on the internet who really are all for women, except theyâd like her to not say a word about being raped because who needs that kind of thing in politics after all.

Weâre going to have to be honest with ourselves about the limits of social media justice, whether we like it or not. These things are intrinsically political acts when directed at politicians, whether we like it or not, even if the crime is true, and the victim is genuine and brave.
Thatâs why there was a hearing today, after all. They still had to go through the kabuki theater even if the outcome was preordained (if such as it turns out to be).

WTF?
A confirmation hearing has zero deadline, elections do.
Come up with a better analogy.

Not the hearing today, his tweetpost was what i was referring to.

No your:

Analogy is completely nonsensical.
As an example, Kavanaughâs current appointment was delayed for years.
Enidigm

Oh, right.
No, thereâs no way these hearings are going on for weeks or days. Itâs absolutely on a timeline. Theyâre not going to wait until after the election, for ex., and itâs unlikely that these voices are going to be heard even past today.

Thatâs that, then:
I assume this lets Murkoswki vote no.
I look forward to the next 40 years of Kavanaughâs brutal partisanship finally flaying open the remnants of our democracy.
We pretty much have absolute rule by an immoral minority party led by an authoritarian.

I told everyone we had a 25% chance of splitting up on Trumpâs election.
I still stand by those odds even now.
And frankly, splitting up might be the only solution.

Wonder what the play is there. They all vote no or yes? Manchin (D) of WV and the three Republicans insist on an FBI investigation?
Ugh, n/m just saw that post above mine. Weâre fucked.

Thatâs great and all, Jim, but your stupid letter to Congress about âher emailsâ 10 days before the election contributed to us being in this mess in the first place.
Sucks that itâs gonna be Manchin who confirms him.
The goal is to eventually map out a route between each and every Republican Senator serving in 2018âs grave and the nearest Zaxbyâs to ensure a hellish torrent of watery greasy âoh fuck what did I just eatâ shit for each and every last one of them.
If I die being shot mid-shit by some Republican Senatorâs familyâs loony graveyard stormtroopers, I will have died the greatest possible death I can envision for myself.
Thatâs been true since November 2016. Todayâs just the GOP admitting it.
You had my support, but alas.
Today was. . . a fuckinâ day. Ugh.
