Flake voted the nomination out of committee, which means usually that it would go to a floor vote. However, Flake says he will vote no and there are other swing votes who agree unless there is a one week investigation.
This is at best tenuous, but it’s also better than the alternative.
Depends on if they abstain or are committed “no” votes. If they just abstain then by my count it’s 49-49.
So we’re basically in a plane running out of fuel in a holding pattern above an airport taken over by domestic terrorists, and have no idea when the ride will be over, one way or another.
