The Julie Swetnick allegations are troubling for an investigation of this nature. It’s hard to put Kavanaugh into those scenes directly, from Swetnick’s testimony. And the way it’s being held by her ambulance-chasing, microphone-happy lawyer would make me have enough doubts to limit it out of consideration too, at least for now.
As far as Judge’s work schedule, a much better source for that is Judge’s own writing, in which his job working at Safeway appears to match the account given by Dr. Ford.

The IRS should have tax records of his employment.

Earlier in this thread, i argued that Kavanaugh was qualified, as his judicial experience is unquestionable, and confirmation really should not be based on whether you think he will vote as you prefer. Everyone voted to confirm Ginsburg… Like seriously, almost every senator did, despite her being a clearly very left leaning Justice.
But at this point, he’s clearly lied under oath, multiple times. His behavior on Friday is not what i expect from a supreme Court Justice. And so i no longer think he should be confirmed.
Timex is a NO on Kavanaugh.
I have a hard time with naive advise-and-consent post-Garland.

Yeah, a whole lotta our government practices feel naive these days.

This won’t surprise anyone. (And he probably doesn’t even consider it lying. I mean, who doesn’t have a grandfather who went to Yale?)

I know, but I’m still going with my principles, despite McConnell having none, because it’s the only way government works.

Legacy preference to boot, HA. Which BTW was instituted in the early 20th Century because too many clever young Jewish men were getting into the Ivy League, per the the powers that were at the time, and they (the “old guard”) were freaking out about it.

This is an attention-getter:
What an image.

Sadly, you’re not correct. If Republicans make a rule that Democratic presidents are not allowed to appoint Supreme Court justices (and that is the rule, as McCain and McConnell made very clear) as long as the Republicans control the Senate, then the rule has to be the same for Republicans, or else we end up with a one-party state.
Furthermore, let’s not forget that Trump was elected with a minority of votes. And, according to a metric I just made up, where each Senator represents half their state’s population, the Republican senate represents almost 40 million fewer people than the Democratic senate.
I don’t see how we can have a Democratic Republic where only the minority party has any power.

Consent is implied since she isn’t using her free hand to even bother fighting off her alleged attacker. If she wants it to stop she needs to do something about it right now, not just complain about it in 2053.

Yeah. Why she gotta be a white woman? Recent events have shown that half the white women in this country support terrible things while black women are trying to help save us all. So I think it’s time for a re-imaging of Lady Justice.

Granted. Make her any color you want. And spread it around. But the image is compelling.

It is. It made me wince reflexively.
Gotta be intern. There’s a grammatical error (‘whoever’ rather than ‘whomever’) but it’s genteel by Trumpian standards.
