I’m not sure he responded directly to it. Cory Booker was trying to get him to agree that the process was not a farce orchestrated by the evil Dems but that they were just trying to follow process. I believe he kinda-sorta “mmm-hmmm” agreed to Booker’s statement, but not in a clear manner.

Yeah, I saw that exchange and Kavanaugh was very reluctant to say anything substantive, as he was with all the Democrats who questioned him.

At what point does Mitch McConnell realize this will be dumped into his lap if Kavanaugh isn’t confirmed? Because I can’t imagine Mitch – if he gets that same vibe – sticks his turtle head out too much on this.

Also, Trump does not drink alcohol. It’s possible that he doesn’t view an avowed drunk through entirely partisan eyes.

Could be, but NBC is reporting that Flake reached out to the WH and cried foul about the constraints. If it’s about his vote - and that of Collins or Murkowski - they have to go along to satisfy him.
