Politics today is performative, not substantive. All the sound and thunder meant nothing.
It’s the other, i think. FOX and friends have created a constituency that is borderline propaganda-filled. Republican donors have completely captured the officials. Between the peasants and the nobles, so much the worse for reality.
Personally, this Democrat is going to do two things. Write some checks to candidates (suggestions welcome!) and go pay an overdue visit to the “I’m drunk” thread.

Why don’t you ask a prosecutor to do it? It would be equally effective.
As for leaking documents, it wouldn’t change the Senate vote, so it would be more effective to leak it closer to the election.
