I am fairly confident that Gardner has been promised a kush private sector job and/or an influential spot in the RNC. He hasn’t voted like a guy who thinks he needs to win the support of Coloradans. He will happily vote for the nominee now.
Yep, I think so. Democratic voters have to remember that Republican senators are now beholden to a party in which Trump has a 99% approval rating.

Everyone who is using this as an opportunity to flog their Bernie hateboners while posting smug condescension about a small minority of voters to say “I told you so” can also fuck all the way off.
Let’s face it, RBG was an amazing woman, but she tried to hang on too long and kinda fucked us a little bit. Let that be a lesson to us all.
Ach well…I’m goin’ to get a bottle of Cisco, a pack of Marlboro Reds, and some scratchers. Don’t try to be a hero, folks. Drinking won’t make anything better tomorrow, but it will make it feel better tonight!

Look for the US to become a shithole over the next couple of decades, where 10% at best of the population lives decently and everyone else scrounges every.fucking.day.
We’re heading back to the Gilded Age, baby!

Not according to the Washington Post
Yes, you’re right: when Trump’s approval was at a low during the year due to the pandemic and racial unrest, he had lower approval ratings from his own party.
It is now 47 days from election day. That calculus has shifted. Thanks for playing. He’s been pretty constant at around ~90% approval with Republicans since coming into office. The latest national poll by Quinnipiac found him right at that margin.

That 90%. Up against the wall is the phrase that comes to mind.
ActBlue has recorded $4m in donations since RBG’s passing was announced.
Watching the ActBlue dashboard totals run is kind of amazing right now:

I wish I had more I could afford to give. Running up that number maybe sends some sort of message.
I just used a google stopwatch and set it at one minute.
In one minute, I saw $120,000+ in donations to ActBlue.
That is NUTS.
This is an 18-second capture from 10:14 pm ET on the ActBlue front page:

Perhaps influenced by having spent a good part of my day in PowerBI, I would love to see a report showing the distribution of these donations. How much is going to Senate races vs. Biden or local races?
