Even if he’s forced to resign, Pence will just pardon him.

It’s the other folks in the administration who will need to worry about spending time in jail.

Diego

Well sure, at some point the earth is a radioactive wasteland and humans are all dead.

What needs to happen, is that if this shit ever gets fixed, Trump and his family need to lose everything. Seriously, just all of it. Confiscate all of their wealth, and deport them.

Someone finally got footage of me as a BSG forum player.

Says right on the front page for Strategic Campaign Group that it offers “Fundraising Services”. This could easily lead to some kind of smoking gun.

This is why I want to see the criminal charges hold off until after 2020 for Trump, and no impeachment. I really think we need some jailing of some folks at the end of this to send a message.

… Or it could be a drug bust. Or it could be something political unrelated to Trump (It’s not like he invented corrupt Republican lobbyists, after all.) Or it could stem from the Trump campaign investigation but be the opposite of the Watergate break-in - an investigation in matter of huge national consequence just happening to lead to evidence of some minor felony.

Or, yeah, it could be a smoking gun. Just don’t let your hopes outrun the story.

Certainly could be. And yet … that’s a lot of activity to bust a three man operation.

Did anyone say anything about “hopes” in my post? I don’t see it.

Just pointing out that fundraising is part of their service offering and that since we know funds are often the one thing you can track, that it’s very possible this could be some serious evidence being gathered.

The Baltimore Sun article above makes it sound like there’s a good chance this is related to something from 2013 instead:

Kelley Rogers, president of Strategic Campaign Group, said a half-dozen FBI agents arrived at the firm’s Main Street office about 8:30 a.m. with a warrant to search and seize records. The FBI confirmed it conducted a raid in Annapolis but would not say where. However, an individual carrying a backpack marked FBI was seen leaving the firm’s office.

Rogers, who said his firm represents the campaign committees for Maryland House and Senate candidates, told reporters that the FBI investigation concerns work the firm performed during the 2013 Virginia gubernatorial campaign of former Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli, a Republican.

According to Rogers, his firm settled a civil suit brought by the Cuccinelli campaign after he lost that race to Democrat Terry McAuliffe. Rogers said the investigation appears to have stemmed from allegations brought in that suit.

It’s related to 2013, but Manaforte and Stone have some connections to that as well.

Mensch and company sure went quiet :)

“Whew! All taken care of guys!”

I suspect there’s more to it than that. The organization also has connections to a super PAC and has stuff related to targeted advertising on the website. Wouldn’t be surprised if they are looking for financial ties to Russians.

Um, what’s the evidence this has anything whatsoever to do with Trump or Russia?

twitter conspiracy theorists??

Yeah, it’s a big old nothing. The timing was interesting, but there’s absolutely no reason to think it’s related.

The place has connections to Manafort and Stone. If that’s a coincidence, it’s a pretty big coincidence.

Until we hear more from someone other than the guy working there, we won’t know what it is about. The way Claude Taylor was going on, there should have been multiple raids.

Here we go again with the “voter fraud” obsession. After all, gotta stop those “3 to 5 million illegal votes” that exist only in Trump’s head.
